    Default Irritable Bowel Syndrome

This is something my son has had for a long time. Raw foods has helped a lot. He is still sensitive to certain things and tends to elimintae things from his diet completely if he has a day of feeling bloated after eating them, like bananas. He used to eat them a lot, now they are off his list. I am concerned that he is going to eliminate too much out of his diet. I haven't seen any books on IBS for people that eat raw foods, so I am thinking that over time things may just correct themselves. He's become a chemist as far as his body is concerned. He knows what works and what doesn't. Funny, the sprouted grain bread recipes don't bother him at all (they bother me). He uses about 16 0z. of coconut oil a week.
He avoids mixtures these days. I suggested a green (powder) drink which he tried and he said it bothered him all day. I think he is leaning towards mono eating. This concerns me because again, I don't know if he is going to be getting everything he needs.
I am about ready to order some Shapeshift because I think this will be a really great way to make sure I get what I need especially on days when I am working and can't be near my kitchen. I hope this is something my son can use too. I noticed it has enzymes in it, he uses enzymes a lot. Maybe Shapeshift won't "bother" him. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks for the website Kirk. I spent a looong time there. One thing lead to another. Looking at liver flushes. ...Hhmm. All these people that have done this or who experience various difficulties aren't raw though.I wonder about this. I feel like being raw puts a huge slant on everything, like we can't follow even alternative mainstream sometimes. Maybe I' start another thread about this.

    Jeanne,

Part of CureZone is dedicated to raw fooders and juice fasters. So both raw and cooked use the site. As to "where do we fit in" I'll give my 2 cents in that post :)
