I've done ice cream in it alot, but not nut butters.... do you have to dehydrate the almonds/cashews? and if so, why? you can't just soak them and run them thru the juicer?

Linda, do you dehydrate your cashews? Just curious....

I love how easy it is to clean, too..... a great juicer, HIGHLY recommended!!!

    Have fun juicing!!!
I dehydrate my nuts because I read it here that this has to been done. Also, you can store it much longer when it's dry. I think you would have to eat it up within a few days if you leave it wet. For this reason, I haven't tried it wet.

    $200??!!?!?
Where in the world did you get it for $200?!?!? I've only seen them for about $300 and up!

I got my 8003 at 2-life as well, with a coupon and free shipping, it was $195. Way more than I ever expected to pay for a juicer (of course, it does so much more), but less than anywhere else I found, especially with the free shipping!

BTW, the Omega is supposed to be a vegetable chopper/dicer also. I can't quite wrap my head around that one. Has anyone tried it? Seems like they'd be "mushed" more so than chopped/diced.

soooo...whats the coupon? :) was it like a code? i currently have a breville, which is fine for juicing - and for the $25 price tag on amazon)...that's about all it does. but now that i am beginning to do more and more RAW (not 100% there yet) I find that buying the recommended appliances eases the transition. I would like to do the ice creams and nut butters...consistency is key. plus, i hear it is not only versatile but cleaning is quick and easy...i just gasp at having to spend another $200-$300 on the appliance. I think this will be the last one I need though, so it shouldn't be so bad...but thank you for the info!~

I just saw where you give them your email address and they send you a coupon code!! Thanx again!!
