Unhappy Ok,,,,warning,,,this is gross - don't open if you have a weak tummy

    ok -

I did the Master Cleanse Saturday and Sunday and had some veggie juice/soup last night which felt good to me.

Today I wasn't feeling like I needed to do that anymore - and went to a health food store and got wheatgrass juice ( a 3 oz. shot ) some "detox" juice made with apples, celery, beets, and I forget what else
And I made a salad from the salad bar

I sat outside there and ate i/2 the salad and 1/2 the juice

    Got in the car

and a few minutes later felt sick to my stomach

I went to grab something - but I couldn't move fast enough and I threw up all over Jerry's car.

I mean - it just went all over.

I couldn't even stop driving because the street I was on had nowhre to stop, and no street to turn onto. It was horrible.

I was close to Jerry's work so I went there and - - bravely rang the bell to his office - and a co-worker came out - I had vomited on my top - my pants - my arm - my hair -

and although I tried to clean it up - it looked horrible.

I told her I spilled in his car....

Jerry got me an entire rool of paper towels and I did my best but it needs to be deep cleaned at a car wash....another $100 down the drain.

Luckily I have a doctor appointment today so I can tell him what happened....

But I don't know what to eat now?

Jerry suggested chicken broth......NOT ON THE RAW PLAN THANK YOU!

    any ideas?

I have a feeling my body just couldn't deal with food after 2 days without it.

I'm surprised becasue all it was - was salad and juice.

I did put hummus and olives on it - maybe that was too rich???

    Any ideas??

Sorry this is so - gross - But I warned you!

I wish I could have been the other car next to you and watch this happen ;)

probably a couple of things to consider.......until you see your doctor

MC is a powerful --the lemon is a very powerful cleanser and "impactful" on the body, that going into something as powerful if not stronger, the wheagrass juice, can make you tweek--I know wheatgrasss itself makes some people nauseated. Preferaably when coming out of a fasting or juicing, be REALLY lite in your choice--brothe ( uncooked) would have been a safer choice or even OJ that is suggested by Stanely Burrough's MC.

I made the mistake and ate food too......I was bloated thereafter for over a week. I temporarily messed up my digestive system and had to regroup and take baby steps again.
Hey, slow down, your journal and my journal are --I swear, a mirror image of each other (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Poor boyfriend---at least he LOVES you that mych throw him a ^5 gor us.

    Catherine,
Poor, poor girl! I had that happened once; I wasn't the driver, but it was still awful and a mess and embarrassing to no end. And the car was new.

I've not done the MC, but from all I've read about various cleanses, it seems that perhaps you "mixed it up" a bit too much for just coming off it. Soup, wheatgrass juice, salad, etc. (Maybe tummy was saying, "Oh I've had nothing for a few days and now it's 5 different fruits and 10 different veggies in 2 meals! and then the hummus and olives...) I've read to come off it very, VERY simply, some very light juice and perhaps mono meals of light fruit the 2nd day.

I know there are tons of people on this board who have much more experience with this, but I'd treat it as if I just came off a flu that had me unable to eat-very, very gently and keep it bland.

I hope you are feeling much better!

I am sorry you had to go thru that Catherine. I agree with what the others wrote, your belly was just probably fightin' mad from all the abuse...It was just sitting there napping, when suddenly...!!!!

...and yes, wheatgrass can definately induce nausea in someone who is not used to it properly...

My advice is to be kind to yourself. You will come thru this. If it makes you fell any better, I once had to leave work ill, and called a girl friend to pick me up..It was so bad that I had to ask her to pull over so I could be sick...SInce that time everytime I drive around that corner, I remember. In a way it is a blessing that you were alone when it happened...

Take care of yourself. We will all be here for you.

When you do the MC you are not supposed to eat anything the day after the last fasting day but orange juice. Then you add veggie soup and a salad. There is guy who wrote an updated MC and he has a site explaining the menu the days after.

    http://thelemonadediet.com/?pageid=40406

I haven't done the MC yet, have some things going on physically that will prevent me right now, but I DO plan to do it.

I am sorry Catherine - I know I know, you may have been more embarrased too, since it wasn't your car. Wheatgrass, while good for you, can jam you something awful as Cassy wrote It should be done on an empty stomach, and 2 hours before eating. It can be blended ina drink.

I know you have been given the information about how to come off - so I won't be labor you on that, but take your time, love yourself and accept lessons learned - you are doing well.

    Oh dear,

How terribly embarassing, and how uncomfortable for you.

You are sure a hero in my book, to keep up with what you are doing, and to fess up to Jerry, about it all.

I have been sick before, but never on raw food, and I wasn't the driver, although he was able to stop, so I could get sick outside of the car, but it was on a date, it was soooooo embarassing.

When fasting, it is really important to realize that this is to help clean the body, and to let it rest.

When fasting you are to relax, not drive and go shopping, or at least that is what the books say, and I feel that when fasting it is kind of a sacred way of cleaning the inside of your body, and mind. So I always meditate, and relax, and don't do anything remotely like work, driving, shopping or dealing with any type of stress.

I also drink only juice when coming off a fast, and only 1/2 juice 1/2 water for a while, the second day, maybe all juice and a piece or two of mild fruit. like melons, then the third day, you can eat some greens, but not a lot of dressing, to acid too soon.

Fasting is usually done supervised, although i know alot of people who don't do that.

But we all live and learn.

I think your heart was in the right place, I am so sorry you had to go through all that.

I am hoping you are feeling better now.

Remember doctors don't know for sure what they are doing, that is why it is called a "practice."

Oh my!! What a time you had. Good thing you were in no accident. Hope you are feeling better now...

I ahd similar thing ahppen but I was luckily at home.. Had done the MC for three days and on the third day was when I got sick... My stomach was giving me problems all day...

come to find out for me I had used too much cayenne that morning... I have learned to just add a touch.... but I do notice if I do juices for a few days... my tummy fights me when I want to eat even a salad..or and apple....

Seems it likes just the juice... either that or I will simmer it down some with brown rice or a slice of bread.. but it is getting better... I am still new to all this and my tummy really likes the lighter stuff.. I feel so clean..
Hope you are feeling loads better!!!
