Seven months on RAW!
I have been raw seven months! This journey started for me on May 10, and I can hardly believe the wonderful changes I've experiences since then!
To begin with, I was severely overweight (over 300 pounds, gack), and had a million other health problems. Major depression and lack of energy were the biggest two, I would often come home from work and collapse right onto the couch, unable to get up until I'd finally crawl into bed around 9pm. Add to this terrible heartburn, and pain in my hands (which I still don't know why) and wrists, knees and feet. But mostly I was just overwhelmed with life, any little thing would make me lose my temper or freak out emotionally. It was not good, lol.
Starting raw was like a fairy godmother tapped me on the shoulder and said "It's time, you can now have a good life." I felt so much better *immediately* that I couldn't even believe it. All of a sudden I was downright cheerful, all the time, for no reason! And I was up with tons of energy until after midnight, though I still had no problems getting up at 5 or 6 the next morning. My husband and kids joke that they got a new mother/wife out of the deal. And the mysterious pain in my hands/wrists/etc disappeard, as did my heartburn (of course).
In the meantime, I have lost almost 80 pounds effortlessly. I am so unspeakably grateful to Alissa and all of you for helping me to get started on this, and I have no doubt that I'll be doing it (joyfully) for the rest of my life.
I'm going to try to figure out how to attach images and show you the progress so far.
(EDIT) The first picture is me before going raw, at about 320 pounds or so (maybe more).
The second picture I think I was about 4 months into raw and about 275 pounds.
Last picture is 7 months raw and 240 pounds.
If these photos don't come up properly, perhaps someone would be good enough to coach me?
Cheers,
Eve

Hi, I just wanted to say congratulations on all your wonderful results. That is fantastic. I am finding it difficult to get back into it. I went off raw during Thanksgiving (how unfortunate) and am trying to get back to it. Your story has inspired me to give it another go.
Keep up the good work!! :)

Thank you!
A lot of my friends and relatives say similar things, and treat this like a huge accomplishment. I'm not sure I understand that. I almost *wish* this was a huge challenge and I could feel proud of doing something very difficult. But at least for me, it's not. The differene in how I *feel* when raw as opposed to not raw is all the encouragement I need. What is a moment's pleasure of eating cheese worth? Not three days' misery afterwards, I know!
I went ahead and posted those three pictures in the gallery, but I still can't figure out how to make them show up here.

Eveleaf, when you post anywhere on the forum, scroll down the page after you post and you should see a "manage attachments" button. Click on that, browse, upload and post. It should work....
