Juicer
I'd like to buy a good juicer (the best I can find), can you give me an advice?
Thank you,
Poppy

What is your price range?
Are you wanting to juice wheat grass or mostly fruits and veggies?

Price is not a problem, I'd prefer to buy a juicer that works with everything (fruit, veggie & wheatgrass).
Thanks

Greenstar looks fabulous
Hey Sunny,
I don't have this model but if I had the $$$ I would purchase it.
Maybe someone else does for more feedback.

I have a centrifugal ejection type juicer: the L'Equip Model 221
and my best friend bought the mini model of this and we both love it.
Pros-easy to use, attractive on counter , easy clean-up
I do juice some greens, ball them up
but it will not do wheat grass.
cons- only fit shorter glasses under spout
the pulp is a bit wetter than i would like when it is ejected
All and all I am happy with it and would of purchased it again.
I would of probably got the mini instead like my friend got. It got better
reviews on this site and is 1/2 the price of the bigger model I got (bought mine at Whole Foods).
I do wish I had a model that would homonagize stuff like ice cream and pates.
That's why I thought the Greenstar looks good.

I think it's great that you are researching before making a big purchase.
Mine was an impulse buy 3 years ago.
The links I sent to discount juicers rate different models so it is interesting
to get some feedback on them.

Hi Sunny
I have the Greenstar and love it. It is a machine you only buy once - it should last years. I have had mine a year now.
The juices are very high quality as they don't "tear" the fruit and veg so much. You can see this with apple juice. It is clear, whereas my previous juicer produced a light golend juice, which means that the juice has oxidised.
However, be aware that it is much slower than a centrifugal juicer because of this gentle action. Not a problem once you get used to it.
www.ukjuicers.co.uk is a site worth looking at as they give some excellent information about the different juicers - although you wouldn't want to pay our horrenduous UK prices (I think this stuff comes over First Class with BA, complete with champagne to justify the cost!!! ).
Hope this helps in your decision making

I have several juicers, each does a different thing.
I have the champion, perfect for super juice, also does raw ice cream, and pate's because of the blank plate.
I have a citrus electric juicer, so that I can make lots of orange juice and lemon juice etc.
I also have a centrifugal juicer that I used to use for juice, but I haven't used it since I bought my Champion.
I also have the VitaMix which is a blender, and makes the best smoothest smoothies in the world, it also makes total juice, but leaves in the pulp, but it works really well, for other raw foods
