    Default Sore after workout???

I learned a secret years ago that works wonders. If you are just starting or over do it working out take a hot bath in some powdered ginger. Just be careful if you have high blood pressure. Ginger gets your blood cirulating. This works better than epison salts. If you get a bruise or have a really sore spot from stain make a paste with the ginger and some water (or if you have some ginger root cut a piece of it off) and rub it on the area. I use to take ballet as a child and teen we would have a summer break and I would be lazy and not practice all summer and when we started back up in the fall I wouldn't be able to walk after the first class until someone told me about doing this. It was like I never worked out I felt so good.

Wow! I could have used this trick a few weeks ago- I did the FIRM total body workout video after not working out in months and I felt like I was hit my a semi the next day! I could barely get up the stairs my body ached so much! I really appreciate the tip- I will try it next time I feel that semi feeling coming on

By the way, welcome to the forums Jennifer!

I don't measure sorry but I usually get the ground ginger powder and sprinkle it in the water as the tub is filling I just sprinkle it back and forth 1 -2 times. I have put to much before and I felt my blood pressure rise while I was soaking so you do have to be careful.

Wow, interesting! Hmm, I guess it must be the natural heating properties of ginger.

Thanks so much for the tip! I'd love to try this as I can get pretty sore!
