I'm going to buy an Omega for myself...an after Christmas present! I have a question.....does the "chrome" on the 8005 look like plastic? You know, the cheap "chrome" plastic, looks weird to me. I would rather have white, I think????? Anybody????

I JUST BOUGHT MYSELF AN OMEGA 8005!!! I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT TO GET HERE!!
Thanks ya'll for allllllll your help!!
For whoever asked about the Green Star vs. the Omega. The way they juice is different. I've heard that the Green Star gets more nutrients...go and read about it on "877myuicer.com" They do an excellent description of explaining how each "type" of juicer works.
I just COULD NOT afford the Green Star. I am the only one in my family that would use it, so cost wise, just not feasible.
    Good luck in your decision.

  3. Default Omega is it then?

I was looking for a juicer. So the omega is only $200? Seems like thats the one everyone likes.

I was looking for a wheat grass juicer but it sounds like this does a whole lot more for less money!

HI, yes, I paid exactly $210 for mine on "2-life" Good luck. It was the only juicer I could find that would juice greens, even wheat grass....and even has a 10 year parts and labor warranty! Go to their web-site and request that coupon, it knocks the price down...no shipping or sales tax Ya gotta love that!!! It's the Omega 8005...if you don't want chrome, and white is the choice for you, my price would've been $195!! I just wanted the less stainable chrome! (It looked really neat too!)
    Good luck....welcome to the board.

I just ordered one... $215. I couldn't find the $210. I'm excited. I look forward to getting rid of my old yucky cheap thing I have. I'm ready to start some wheatgrass too.

    Default What about Green Star?

I know they're more costly; but, it's my understanding that the quality of juice is much better. I recently ordered a Green Star 1000 after doing some research of my own. Just FYI the different (green star) models are not different mechanically.

    Thanks,

Thanks to all that responded to my comment on heating up. I found out the problem. I was using the machine for too long. Yesterday, I made cashew nut butter, and it came out perfectly without heating up at all. I have to say that I really really love this machine.

    Thanks,
Yah, I think the green star is better also but I have the samson ultra which is comparable, but quite a bit smaller as I have little space here and every inch of counter space really, really counts. GREAT juicer.

Just a quick update. I got my juicer yesterday. The instructions need pictures. I've only had time to juice an orange this morning. But I think I'm in love. I'll keep you posted.

Hi Elian...I noticed you are in upstate SC...I'm in NC....have you ever been to Hallelujah Acres....it's in NC, but close to SC, on the other side of Charlotte. They have an awesome FREE seminar the 1st Saturday of the month...and even though they don't push 100% raw, they really promote it and the vegan lifestyle. Nice to have a southerner here!
