    Default Ideas for traveling

I am going to Hawaii on Sunday with the hubster (so excited!!!!!! ) I plan on bringing a blender with me. Now, I am psyched about all the fruits available there but am more concerned about evenings and craving stuff as i am in a very tender raw stage right now.

I was hoping to bring/buy some stuff there to sustain me. Can you give me some ideas for quick easy and TASTY--gotta be TASTY-- salad dressings I can whip up in my blender to bring to restaurants? I get very tired of the typical lemon/oil based ones which I use all the time.

I would like to get more creative-- ESPECIALLY in Hawaii!!! I know I will feel all romantic and crazy so I really want to sustain from any alcohol even wine.

I soooooo much want to succeed on 100% raw while I am gone. I just know that I will feel so great and victorious maintaining my raw life while in Hawaii. I am just a bit scared because I will have access to great restaurants with exotic stuff and fresh fish. I used to love fish. So, really any tips for success would be so awesome.

I will be victorious!! i will, I will, I will! My addictions WILL NOT have dominance over my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO THERE.

For traveling, just adding some seasonings or fresh herbs to your simple olive oil and lemon dressing will give it new flavor vs. blending up something. Food for thought. May do a search here in the "search" box as I believe Doe had a slew of dressings and/or condiments. I find just this simple suggestion opens up a whole new world of ideas to me. Most restaurants will have the oil and lemon too, but of course not organic. I always look for health food stores wherever I travel.

Here's a teaser to get you jump started:

    avocado
    celery
    tomatoe
    onion
    garlic

    Blend all. Enjoy.

Have a wonderful trip. Oh, the flowers there smell heavenly. The rainbows were outrageous when I was in Maui. Sounds like you are running away from our snow now. Great timing! I even ended up going to a rockin fabulous church in Maui while there. I love Hawaiian music.

Try blending soaked macadamia nuts and pineapple for an awesome salad dressing.

    Sharon,
Wow, does that sound great. Think cashews would give that similar flavor at less expensive price? Thanks.

In Hawaii I would think that the macs are more available. I'm sure cashews would to the trick out here though.

I just got back from Arizona from being on vacation and I lost 2 pounds while I was away. My suggestions are the following:

Pack a big bag of trail mix you can take with you where ever you go. I put in raw almonds, sunflower seeds, raisens, and pecans in mine. (It really helped on the plane and during those times you are hungry but can't get to food).

I also packed some lara bars (which are raw bars you can find at Good Foods or health food stores). They are the right size to have in your purse whenever you need it.

Third suggestion is to first check out the menu before you park the car and commit to eating at a restaurant. If you have questions, you can check with the restaurant manager to see if they will accomodate your dietary needs before you sit down with your husband. This may require some patience on your husband's part, as sometimes it took driving to a few restaurants before I found one I could eat at.

Also do an internet search and see if there is any Raw or Vegan, or Vegetarian restaurants near where you will be staying. I found a vegetarian restaurant in Sedonna that served me an awesome raw plate that was yummy. My SAD husband however wasn't too thrilled but he did eat there to try to support me.

Best raw wishes on your vacation! You can do it!

So happy with all the great ideas! I just need to make that committment in my heart and I know I can be all raw.

I plan on using this time for lots of rest, reflection, and meditation. My husband has business there and I will have lots of time alone to just BE with myself. I will also have the rental car to do what I want. I definitely plan on checking out any raw places, health food stores, etc.

I was so psyched I even subjected myself to pure torture this am. and got a brazilian wax. NOT FOR THE WEAK OF HEART! UGh! Hubby better be grateful! Ha, ha

Just eat raw whole foods and enjoy smoochy time with hubby!!!

Blending on vacation, means you'll have dishes to wash. Dish washing is a chore. Chores on vacation is a SIN!!!

Leave the gadgets, go whole foods raw and LIVE!!!!!

    go to

    THIS HAWAII LINK

for info on vegetarian and whole food restaurants, farmers markets, coops, expos etc....

    Errr huh

mail me a case of pineapples would you????

It is, therefore, evident that it is possible to cure by foods, aliments and fruits; but as today the science of medicine is imperfect, this fact is not yet fully grasped. When the science of medicine reaches perfection, treatment will be given by foods, aliments, fragrant fruits and vegetables, and by various waters, hot and cold in temperature.

    OOPS...
Glad you are leaving tomorrow. I have removed and corrected the links above for the Hawaii churches of James Marocco now. Spelt last name wrong therefore got wrong info. What's posted is right now. Churches: King's Cathedral Maui (in Kahului, Hawaii) and King's Cathedral Oahu (Honolulu, Hawaii). Joyce Meyer coming up. See websites. Perfect timing to run away from the "more trickling" snow coming down. Enjoy.
