A Note from Skai
Peace and Love ALL! Well, itÂ’s official! We have completed a full year of 21 Day Raw Food Challenges. I am soooo excited about this challenge! This time we have made it more comprehensive and we have given it a different spin. All the changes that have been made are a result of feedback from the four previous challenges over the last year.
First of all, everyone is required to register for the challenge. Registration basically commits you to the process. We have professionals coming in from out of town and from our own local area and they need to be reassured that folks are serious about this work. The healers that we have chosen to be a part of this event are EXTREMELY passionate about what they want to share with you and it is imperative that you show and prove your dedication to the challenge by participating to as many lectures and workshops as possible. Due to the fact that we have already put the word out and have gotten a ridiculous amount of feedback from folks, we require that you sign up for the events you will most likely be participating in. All of this can be done on the Registration Form (last page) of this packet.
We have included in this packet: 12 Steps to Raw Food (by Victoria Boutenko), Why Raw Food? And what you should be eating (by Alissa Cohen), The Schedule of Events, The Meal Plan and Menu Choices, Program Fees, and the Registration Form. If you register by the 21st you will receive the Early Bird Discount (see Program Fees).

All that is required of you is to try your best to stick to eating raw foods for 21 days. We mandate attendance at the First night (Dec 1st), the Potluck and Reflections Circle (Dec 10th) –the half way mark, and the Finale Gala. Besides that you can come to any or all of the lectures and workshops. Movie night is FREE and should be an opportunity for all of us to come together and eat Raw Popcorn (Raw Okra)….Margie gave me that idea!
By the way, have you been to the New/Old Yabba Pot lately. It is completely renovated and ready to handle a huge crowd. We are anticipating about 100 participantsÂ…as least that is how many people we can fit. So donÂ’t sit on this! This should be your holiday gift to yourself. You will love yourself for it. DonÂ’t let money be an obstacle for you. The price of health is infinite and we will definitely need help in the kitchen, so let me know where you can fit itÂ….you may qualify for a Yabba Scholarship!
Raw Food is the Truth, yall! And you know what time it is. If you are receiving this by email you can register online at: http://rawfoodchallenge.eventbrite.com .
If you have any additional questions or comments, I prefer if you email me. But if you want to hear my voice, call me at 443-939-0133.
Love Love!! Skai

WHY RAW FOOD? By Alissa Cohen
What we eat deeply and radically affects the way we think, feel, and behave. WE are what we eat and we eat what we are. Food affects every aspect of our being. Food is the physical foundation of our body. If the foundation is unstable, all that is built upon it will be unstable. Everything you physically are was once the air you breathed, the water you drank, and the food you ate. The colloidal mineral structure of your body is built out of the foods you have eaten. If there is an alteration in the food, then it is reflected in the look and function of the body. Improve your food choices and you dramatically improve the foundation upon which your body is built.
Cooking food over temperatures of 112 destroys all enzymes. This is a problem because life itself depends on enzymes. We need enzymes for every living bodily function: walking, talking, and breathing. As we age, our bodies’ natural source of enzymes becomes depleted. We need to replenish this source through the foods we eat. If we do not do this – if we continue to cook away the enzymes in our food – then we eventually begin to use our own natural enzymes reserves. Meanwhile the cooking process makes it more difficult for our bodies to break up and digest the food we eat. The food begins to become stored in our bodies as toxins, leading to all sorts of disease.

To remain young, one must change

EQUIPMENT YOU WILL NEED
Depending on your budget and what you already have, I would not recommend anyone running out and buying all these gadgets because after 21 days of usage they may (hopefully not) sit on the kitchen counter collecting dust. If however your pocket allows it and you are committed to making real changes in your life starting today than invest in the more inexpensive versions of the following: They usually all work fine. I would upgrade to the more expensive brands once your life requires them.
A Blender, Food Processor, and a Juicer.
Really, the most important tool you will need are some high quality knives.
SkaiÂ’s Mom (Deceased) with Anna Maria Clement of the Hippocrates Institute in West Palm Beach Florida
