    Default Threads Deleted because...?

    Hey, maybe a moderator can help me with this one, cause it seems I'm not understanding the guidelines.

    I'm wondering why a couple of the threads I started have been deleted. Was it because they were deemed inappropriate or ???

    One was regarding vitamix's bogo offer--I wanted to find an LA person who was also interested in the deal. The other was regarding starting an LA/OC buying club.

    If you could let me know what the deal is, I'd appreciate it. I understand that Alissa provides the funding for the forum, and I don't want to step on anyone's toes, but it's frustrating not to know why they're being deleted.

    But maybe this will shed some light for others as well...

    Alissa sells raw products on her main website. Some of the products people advertise or link to with sales, etc. are clearly in direct competition with her products and appliances sold on www.alissacohen.com

    There may be "some" products/services that are announced here that are things she doesn't sell, but in order to keep down confusion, she doesn't want ANY advertising, selling or promoting links to raw food products here, hence the classified section being removed and replaced with ONLY raw events such as the Living on Live Food classes, potlucks, meet-ups, etc.

    Please keep in mind that there are many forums that don't allow ANY type of advertising or cross-linking whatsoever, especially to other products, goods and services.

    I hope this provides clarity regarding that particular aspect of what is and is not to be posted on RFT and our apologies that this wasn't clearly outlined in the new rules of posting.
