    Question Looking for advice ...

Ok, where to start? I'd been 100% raw since July, but hit an extremely stressful patch of life and wound up hitting the "comfort" food. I've accepted that this has happened, and want to go raw again. But now I'm finding that nothing looks good ... not raw, not cooked ... nothing. I don't have much of an appetite, but when I am hungry, nothing appeals to me at all.

Has anyone hit a patch like this? Is it possible that my body is just trying to heal and go thru more detox?

Besides the lack of appetite (or desire for any type of food), I seem to have hit a bit of a depression, too. I really don't know what's going on, but I'm not liking it all that much!

If anyone has any thoughts on this, I'd appreciate hearing them. Thanks so much!! :)

Sounds like a good time to fast - if you're a spiritual person, make it a spiritual fast and really get in touch with your higher power as you abstain from eating.

Along a similar line to what Rawkinlocs said and/or if you are not up to fasting wait until you get really really hungry. But before you do this be prepared and stock your kitchen so you don't grab the wrong foods.

I do get like this, nothing appeals to me and I eat it just to eat and then want something else. I have learned to stick to the one type of food that always appeals to me and that's fruit smoothies, sometimes I will have 5 a day for 2 days until I feel like eating again( my husband hates this cause he likes "dinner" ) but he lives through it .

Hope this helps and hang in there! Never never give up!

I hate that feeling.....it's like being disconnected from your "self" and your surrounding.

Carloyn, real smart of you to work thru this!!! Been there and I really believe that the body gets to a point where it wants to slow us down ( that depressive feeling emotionally and physically) to get us to mindfully realize what we need and want. Seems like it is during these times we really ask ourselves those deep questions related to eating/food.

Add what you can in RAW and work back to the direction you are headed. :)

Personally what I found helpful, was doing a really good cardio session.....that blood becomes so stagnant and toxic during those eating episodes.

Thanks, guys! All of your replies really did make sense and help! I need to work on the mindset completely ... I know a fast would be the best thing for me, but the ingrained pattern of "having" to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner still forces its way thru, even if I'm not really hungry. I feel like I'm fighting a battle with myself right now, on top of everything. I guess I need to start working on the mindset and hopefully the rest will fall in place. And hopefully it will before I eat any more junk that I don't need to eat!!
