    Default Green smoothie Fast

Has anyone done green smoothies for a few days or more? Did you notice anything in particular? I am thinking of doing a green smoothie fast along with apples. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks

    :)

My dh and I are planning to do this from Nov 24 to Dec 22 (29 days).
We're doing green smoothies, juices, clementines & grapes (probably
more fruit too but mainly smoothies).

I'll try to post how it goes.

Wow! You will definately have to keep us informed on how you are feeling. I think I will start with a 3 day, since I've never fasted before.
    Thanks for responding.

    Thumbs up Hi there!

I have been on a green cleanse for the past three days (well, this is my third day). I haven't been sleeping very well, but that is because there's loads of mad stuff going on in my life at the moment, but I am positive I wouldn't feel nearly as lively if I hadn't been doing this cleanse.

I have released about 6lbs already and feel light and healthy. I have been having chard, spinach, cabbage and had a big handful of parsley today. I have been mixing these with apples, pears, bananas (which I find the most delicious, satsumas and I have papaya and pineapple for the next few days. I've been adding mint to these smoothies because it makes them soooo delicious. I am now a total mint addict. I reckon whatever happens in my life, I will continue having at least one large green smoothie a day. After reading Victoria Boutenko's 'Green For Life' I totally believe it ids the only way to go for amazing health. Also, they are so easy and quick and I have been so busy lately, I haven't had time to prepare food. These green smoothies really are a Godsend!

Good luck...hope that's been of some help?

Thank-you Bernie for sharing. That is wonderful you are choosing health during a rough time in your life and you lost 6 lbs. Wow! I am currently reading, "Greens for LIfe," It is inspiring me to add more greens into my diet. I've been doing 1 about every other day, but I had 1 yesterday with 2 pieces of chard( I usually put 1 piece in) and I will have another today. Please continue to let us know the benefits your experiencing.

P.S. The mint is a great idea

    Smile Good luck and enjoy

I know even when I have been religiously raw I haven't been taking in enough greens...these smoothies are amazing!

It was hard for me yesterday because my husband was cooking and it smelt really GOOD! But I had another big green smoothie and refocused on why I was doing it. I feel hungry again today and realise I am not having enough. I'll try and up my quantity of green smoothies today. I think it's 'cause I'm exercising, I need more.

Amazing news too...I was 131lbs at the start, today I weighed (Day 4) and I am now 121lbs! I have lost 10lb in 4 days! Unbelievable! Most of that has got to be water but I have definitely lost some fat too, because my clothes are a lot looser and I can see how much slimmer I am. It really is astonishing! :

Good luck to you...enjoy your smoothies!

I have to say I notice when I do the green smoothies my cravings for bad food diminishes. Another good reason to do them.

I totally agree with that. I am a green smoothie freak right now, well, mine are more like a green thick juice,(I add more water and it's got a prune juice-like thickness).

I've been drinking a quart of this almost every day and it feels like I could be content just having this. I just don't feel hungry anymore.

I'll be doing a week of green smoothies starting on Tuesday. I drink 1 or 2 quarts a day anyway but want to focus on some cleansing and staying away from some of the "no-no" foods I've indulged in over the holidays. So smoothies it will be!

I'll post how it goes, I am excited!
