Lightbulb do anyone know who has M.S., try raw food before, does it help?

My mom has M.S. She would be appreciated if someone has suggested something or has experiences of M.S.?

What foods that can help healing the nerves?

    Thank you.. ;)

I can speak for the 85% raw amount with the Hallelujah Diet success. Google this program. I have been trained in their program and I must say the only reason the 15% is left out from the equation they say is because many feel they are deprived. If your mom can do the 100% that would be great starting place. I would suggest sticking around for the great support that comes forth always here Holiday time is a great time to show you care through such learning tools as Alissa's book at alissacohen.com. Here's to great health for you and your mom.

I think a raw food diet in general would help. Some say MS is a severe case of heavy metal toxicity, so that might be something to keep in mind. I read somewhere that cleaning up your diet with raw foods could really, really help, so maybe just by trying a raw diet, your Mom would see some benefits. Even if it wouldn't get rid of the MS, I'd be willing to bet that it'd at least slow down the progression, as well as making her symptoms easier to deal with.

Apart from that, I wanted to mention that she should try seeing a chiropractor regularly, if at all possible. A very long time friend of mine has a mother with MS. For as long as I'd known her (the mom - 14 years now), she couldn't really use her left leg. She could walk, but would have to drag the leg as opposed to just walking on it like she did with her right leg. She also had no feeling in that leg at all, and hadn't for 18 years. So the friend and I went to a new chiropractor together, and he talked at such length about the various diseases that can be healed, or at least helped with chiropractic, that we decided to try to talk the mom into going. She went to the chiropractor, finally, and started scheduling 3 visits per week. On her 3rd visit, she started to have pain in her left foot and leg. She was scared about it, and actually started to become angry - thinking that the chiropractor had done something wrong. He didn't. It was the first time she'd had any feeling in that leg and foot for 18 years...the pain was actually a very good sign. Over the next couple weeks, she kept saying how she started noticing a lot of little improvements in how she felt overall, and also with that leg. Eventually, she stopped going to see that chiropractor due to circumstances beyond her control. In just a few weeks, though, he really made a difference in her well-being, so like I said, it might be worth checking into. Just make sure you find a good one. Get recommendations from friends or even strangers. Go to someone that you can trust will do a good job.

    GOod luck.

I can tell you that there is a lady in Carlene's Raw Food Boot Camp (RFBC) that had MS and was in the advanced stages (wheelchair bound) when she began. She is cured (okay, the doctors won't use the "C" word because "MS is uncurable" so they say she's in "remission"...whatever ) since going raw. This year she has gone from the wheelchair to walking to walking a 10K. She has also lost over 100 pounds.

As far as what she has eaten: she has kept her fat between 10-20%; she does eat brazil nuts in small quantities for the rebuilding of the whosewhatsits that coat the nerve-endings; she eats fruits and veggies...I don't think she does recipes...just fruits and veggies (salads).

Tell your mom...she can do what the doctors deny is possible...she can be cured. Raw food and a determined spirit will renew her health.
    Frecs--lost 127lbs since Dec 26, 2005--when I went 100% raw!

    Red face thanks so much

My mom already went to chiro. and still going for three times every week.
she notice some improve changes. she is about 50-75 raw for almost one year. she agree to try high raw and i will give support. Only problem is my dad, he want cooked and meat foods. so it is little hard for me and mom.
we already try the green for life book and like it :) it is been one week now high raw as 90- 100%. we did notice some changes as nails become harder (mine) and mom's skin become more tan even it is cold fall now.

I noticed my acne get worse during high raw for about 5 day then slowly fade, still lots left. I will start keep the journal what we eat.

I worry about thanksgiving coming up though.

    Thank you so much

    Default MS Updates

Hi - I can across this thread about MS - and am very interested since I am in the process of being officially diagnosed and the Dr. is pushing meds.

Any updates to how people are doing? Blueberry Girl - how's your Mom?

Anyone else have updates - positive or negative?

    Thanks!
    :)

Recently, maybe last 4 months or so, www.hacres.com had a testimony about a recovered MS person. See health tip archives when there. It is not 100% raw advocated due to people find it hard going all the way. Regardless for those who go 100% they are excited. Over the years they have had other MS total recovery testimonies. It's in testimony section and can do a find quickly by control F7 at same time. If not familiar with that just look at testimonies.

    Hope this blesses all.

My sister has MS. She is in a wheelchair. I took her to a well known raw food restaurant where she had a beautiful salad, I was really hoping that she would see how good raw food can taste and maybe start putting more raw in her diet. She did enjoy the food, but, I think because of all the medication that she's been on, she could not digest it and was very sick the rest of the night.

The reason I share this story is only to suggest that you might encourage your mom to start slowly and carefully, to avoid any bad reactions. I do think that switching to raw would help my sister, but now I think that she needs time to transition, cooked vegan perhaps.
