    Default Letting go

Why is sooo hard to let go? It seems like it would be the easiest thing to do, but is so hard for me. I mean letting go of worry, and enjoying life. I am going to meditate more. I know it is the ego trying to make a problem out of life and solve it, when it is un-solvable.

Wow, after reading my own post I just had a moment of clarity. That is the answer, it is unsolvable. Kind of heavy I know, but my mind is always needing answers...so maybe that will help.

Great topic... Letting Go... and interesting insight about wanting answers. That makes a lot of sense to me... I think it is natural for human beings to want 'to know' and to want 'security'. And yet, none of us really have it... too many unexpected things can happen. It is so easy to fear the unknown... uncertainty.

For me, staying present makes such a difference. If my thoughts are in the past or future... I am more prone to worry etc. But, in the present, life is so doable... and peaceful. It is also the place I can have real impact.

Wayne Dyer among many... talks about energy and vibrations in life being high or low. And, that high energy 'attracts' good things in life... with high energy being of love, joy, peace etc. Whereas lower energies being of fear, worry, sadness etc. And, that lower energies 'attract' more negative or lower vibration experiences. Anyway, that is a great motivation for higher energy thoughts and emotions.

Gratitude is a great shifter into more positive thoughts and emotions.

Author Richard Bach wrote something about letting go... from his book Illusions, that I remember reading... here is a link to it.

Thanks for that Star. Gratitude is a great shifter, that is a very good point I need to remember. I love Chopra and Dyer and have read them much. What also helps me is knowing that we have the power of God inside of us. This source power, which is love, is so strong it can be tapped to take us far beyond our perceived limitations. I believe this will be the next evolution of man (yes I believe in evolution and God, it's not so hard:). Now I just need to learn how to actually get there from here. Stuck in the everyday can drag me away from what I know is true.

Hey Dean... that was beautiful ... great insights!

Something that has helped me... I recorded a tape with affirmations and positive visualizations of what I'm creating, attracting in my life. I listen to it when I'm driving. It has made such a difference... especially after a few months of listening to it. Really helps shift the balance into the positive no matter what is going on around me.

I've learned to welcome change. And, to see that the unknown, uncertainty is filled with good energy and opportunities. It helps me to be open to allowing, and letting go... to what is unfolding in my life.

You might want to look into the Sedona Method. I just started learning it (via their cd set), so I can't vouch for it yet, but I know lots of people have used it successfully. It is all about letting go, they call it "releasing". It was recommended on a law of attraction listserve that I belong to as a great system to use to raise your general vibration. It's called the Sedona Method. www.sedona.com

    All the best,

What a great suggestion! Sedona is all about letting go...

Here is a link... with an example of how to do a releasing technique.
Second link... insights from Lester Levenson... founder of the Release Technique.
