Trinity cancer question
Hi Trinity,
My daughter (sungodess) wrote to you earlier about the raw food diet while on radiation. I am inspired to try this now and finally joined the forum. Can you give me more info about your radiation? What part of your body was radiated? Did you also do chemo? How many treatments of radiation did you have? When you say your blood was pure afterwards, what blood test did you have? Were you raw before the cancer? Did you also take supplements while on radiation?
So sorry for all the bombardment of questions. I am just scared because I go to an alternative doctor (as well as traditional) who believes in the raw diet, but he has warned me to stay off all supplements during radiation because antioxidants can counteract the effectiveness of the radiation. (interesting endorsement) I figured that raw food is loaded with antioxidants and may do the same thing. I was also afraid of detoxing side effects overwhelming my body while trying to deal with the radiation.
FYI- I had 12 weeks of chemo, 1 month break (PET scan shows cancer remission) yet they still want to do 6 weeks of radiation everyday starting in 2 weeks. I have hodgkins Lymphoma.

I have nothing to offer here...just wanted to say congratulations on your remission, and good luck. Oh! And, welcome!

Hi Drexel My Love,
You GO GIRL with your remission. 1st let me just say the power of being positive is key. With that positive attutude, I'm not saying you can't be scared, just be convinced that you are cancer free and always will be. Now, I believe in order to stay that way we(cancer survivours) must follow a RAW diet. End of story. I know this seems a bit militant, but I refuse to gamble with my health. I was not raw before my diagnosis and I became raw because of it. I had a full blood test(CBC< Cancer Markers, all the bells and whistles only 2 weeks after going raw and my blood was off the charts healthy( no sign of cancer). I did juice during my radiation because my appatite was nil. I was nuked:) in my groin, left side for 3 weeks, 5 days per week. no chemo. I have had both PET/CAT scans going on 1 year, this dec. will be my year mark and so far, I"M CANCER FREE AND ALWAYS WILL BE!! Read Alissa's book for great recipies that are totally nutritious and easy. WITH RAW YOU DON"T NEED SUPPLIMENTS IF DONE RIGHT:):):). Just go within and see what feels right to eat raw, what raw recipes appeal to you. You MUST remember Lymphoma is a blood cancer so anything that detoxes the blood is wonderful: Garlic, Ginger, Corriander, Bitter Greens. Sweet fruits will hydrate you: Pineapple, cherries, berries plums, melons, dates are a wonderful energizer. Use spices, nuts, seed butters, all of this food is healing and whole. Let's not allow fear to seap in, you can take control Drexel, be RAW and BE HEALED! By no means am I perfect please know this, I'm speaking for myself and you did ask my opinion:):):) I send you healing and love for you and your family, you're probably more worried for them than for yourself?!:)
Love,
Trinity

P.S. DREXEL, YOU DO NOT HAVE CANCER< IT IS IN REMISSION, so you are free. Try to separate you from the illness, I always say the lymph node that was removed had cancer or the mole they cut out had cancer, I NEVER say "I have" I refuse to own it:):):). You have to be an example for folks to use positive phrasing:) They will follow how you say it:)
Love Again,
Trinity

Thanks so much for sharing your story and for your enthusiasm. I am encouraged to do this during radiation. I won't overdo it with supplements but just stick to the food and especially juice.
I'll keep you up to date on progress!
