    Default Eating Raw and traveling

I am going to Disney World for 5 days with family. Can anyone make suggestions how I can prepare for this trip. I am making raw granola but need some other recipes that I can pack with me. Any advice?

Ok. Here they are...I hope some of them are useful!
    1) Invest in a cooler. (If you are driving!) These are so essential for a long trip! And can even be used at Disney for late night snacks! Keep your nuts and flax seeds...dates...cold veggies(clean and cut them up! ex: Carrot and cucumber slices)make some flax crackers and raw cheese for cheese and cracker sandwiches on the go!...anything you would normally refriderate for snacking at home. Make them all grab and go items. But with the cooler they will stay fresh!
    2) Get bags of fresh fruit! Like apples and bananas! They are easy to eat on the go. Perfect to throw in a purse and bring along for a snack later! (I carry large purses! LOL) Also, as you drive down the road you can throw the core out knowing it isn't wasted!
    3) At Disney...get the menus to the restuarants in advance of eating there! Like eat breakfast and any places you would like to go to for lunch...grab a menu and look before you ever go in! If they haven't got bottled water or salads...don't even enter! ;)
I have been to Walt Disney World almost every year of the first 20 in my life! There is a lot of junk food and vendors everywhere! Beware. My best advice is to be prepared...don't let your supplies run low and check everything out on a full stomach before you go in to eat! Bring your snacks with you and eat at a bench outside. Reserve eating at the restuarants until dinner and then eat at one of the nicer ones. (Better salads offered here.)
I think if you just go prepared you will have a great time! What's not to love? It's Disney!
Good luck! Hope some of this helps! :)

Disney is one of the most wonderful places in the world to travel with as far as food. If you don't mind making reservations and letting them know what your food preferences are in advance they will do whatever you need. I went there last month and while I wasn't 100% raw while I was there I did eat completely veggie for the entire time. The thing that amazed me the most was that I went to one of their dinner shows, The Hoop-di-do Review. The food at that show is all you can eat fried chicken, pork ribs, baked beans, corn on the cob, and corn bread. I honestly did not think I could get a decent veggie meal, let alone a raw one, there. The day before the show I got a message from them since I had indicated on the reservation that one person was veggie. When I called they offered me a grilled veggie plate or pasta with tomato sauce. I opted for the veggie plate and could have gotten it raw if I had thought of it. So I got a _vegan_ meal at a place that has typical southern cooking with no hassle at all, and could have easily gotten a raw one!
In Epcot in the land pavillion there is a cafeteria style place called 'Seasons' if I remember correctly. It would be very easy to have a raw meal there as they have fresh fruit and salads to offer. Also in one of the restraunts at my hotel, I stayed at Disney at the Coranado, they had a similar set up where it would be easy to get fresh fruit and veggies.
Check on the website for the names of different places and short descriptions so you can plan out the most likely places to eat what you want. You can also call the reservation line to get info on any restraunt to see what they have, and to make reservations of course. With a little planning I don't think you'll have any problems at all!

P.S. I almost forgot, there are also alot of snacky type places about and many of the larger ones have fresh fruit as a snack. Water is in abundance at the snack places as well.
