    Default this is m&m's mom...

This is Raw-Siobhan, m&m's mom...I think I know what she is referring to...we are so tempted in our household with cooked food. We are working on stocking more and more raw foods, but it always seems we are tempted by cooked foods. This is partially because I as the mom give in to the quick and easy fast foods that are available to us and because I get overwhelmed easily with life in general...so essentially it is me not setting the example I should.

If you like to grab for quick meals...Fruit is the Best Raw food going. Get a nice array and keep in sight..yummmmm. The Banana Ice Creams are awesome.

The more you eat Raw the less yummy cooked will seem to you. :)

My suggestion is be patient, your tastbuds have become accustomed to the cooked food, and they need to be re-programed. Find health alternatives to add flavour to your raw meals like seawead instead of salt, dried tomatoes in sauces for flavouring, Agave to sweeten dishes - the list goes on. I was not inspired by raw untill I played around with the new tools that I had to work with. And hey - it can take a while to like it as much - but your health and the wonderful energy you will feel are more then worth the effort.

for some reason salads taste yummier to me when i slice the lettuce into thin shreds , and also the vegis in the salad like radish cuke mushroom pepper taste better when i slice them real thin .

also a couple dry dates thrown into a banana smoothie with a little cinnamon sprinkled in is a nice natural and yummie sweet drink .

You know, at first I think it's finding what tastes good to you and your family. Not everyone is going to like a honeydew melon, but it is my personal fav. If you like what you are eating...you won't crave cooked...because you will be satisfied with what's in front of you. Don't eat an apple if you really want a pear. Get the pear. It will curb that craving inside you and satisfy. Enjoy the time you spend making the food too. I enjoy food so much more now because it isn't my enemy. It's good for me. So, savor the making of your next salad, soup or smoothie. Enjoy the idea of what it will taste like when it is done. Focus less on McDonalds is down the street! It takes time. Move at your own pace. It will come if you keep trying.
    Raspberries, almonds & kiwi...oh,my! :D
