    Default Juicing Garlic...?

I really would like to find a juice recipe that has garlic in it that I can actually enjoy. I only tried juicing garlic once. It was so gross, I only had a couple sips of the juice, and then I fought throwing up for a good couple hours. It was too strong. I noticed a couple juices after that that what did not help - and probably contributed - was all the parsley. I used both in the juice and I realized that I also really don't like parsley in my juice at all. It's also too strong.

So, does anyone have a good juice recipe that has garlic in it that wouldn't mind sharing? I think I asked about this like a year ago, and someone mentioned doing a juice that was almost like V8 with tomato juice in it. I'm sure that'd be good except that I really can't stand raw tomatoes either lol. Other than those three things, I'm open as far as veggies go and would try anything that someone could recommend.

    Thanks.

GOSH...and I WAS going to recommend a tomato juice. It has equal # of tomato with apple...like 2 of each and a clove of garlic. The recipe was listed on "freedomyou.com". There they list alot of juice recipes...you might want to look there. Good luck...and thanks for helping me with my juicer questions!

LOL thanks! Using tomato just may be inevitable when trying to make a juice that has garlic and that I can tolerate. It dawned on me that I really like salsa, so maybe the key to making a good juice with garlic and tomato that I can tolerate is adding some spices to make it more like a liquid salsa.

I'll try it out. And I'll also try the recipe you gave me, so thanks for that. Maybe the apples will make it good. And I LOVE freedomyou.com! So much information there! Good stuff :)

I've done a V-8 type of juice with garlic in it, and it tastes great. What I did was borrow the bottle of V-8 off the shelf in the grocery store and headed over to the produce section, using the ingredients as my main guide. I rounded it out with garlic and lemon and a little sea salt to give it more kick.

Just make sure that you use firm tomatoes though, because the mushy ones won't yield much juice.

Sorry didn't realize you didn't want tomatoes - ha. I'm not a big tomato fan either but you hardly taste is in here with all the celery and carrots.

Maybe part of the problem is the amount of garlic U are using - maybe start out with a fraction of a clove, & move up as U discover the level of garlic that U prefer.

Also - something I like to do is to juice my vegies - any combination U like, adding an apple or 2 for sweetness, then pour that in a blender & add big handfuls of greens (add some cilantro for a Mexican flavor - but not too much, it can become overpowering) and throw in a little garlic & half a small avocado & blend. Yum! I used to add cayenne & cumin for more of a Mexican hit, but I've been cutting down on spices....... experiment to find out what U like... just start out with small amounts, since U can always add more, but it's hard to remove something that's overpowering......
