    Question Citric Acid for sprouting??

    Hello- Does anyone use this or ever heard of it. I was in a HFS this morning and saw it on package of "NOW" Sprouting seeds and products. It said to add a little to sprouts to prevent mold-Just wondering if anyone uses this product or something similar. Its the first I've heard of it.

    citric acid is basically lemon juice.

    I've never added it to sprouts, but in general, acidifying something is anti-fungal, so it would make sense that it might help prevent mold.
