I'm still hanging in there. I have 9 pounds to go. I am having the hardest time getting the scale to move. I did not have a good day of eating today. I stayed raw but had way too much banana macadamia nut pie. I am doing emotional eating today. Hopefully I will be back on track tomorrow.

I've been doing very well for three days - all raw, no nuts or seeds, exercising - and I'm two pounds over where I started! My "cheat" must have been worse than I thought.

Smile I'd like to lose 80 pounds

    hey everybody,
I'm new to the site but I would love to be a part of your journey. I've already lost 40 pounds eating raw food. It has slowed down lately but I have definetly become very lax with my eating. I have a 2 1/2 year old and have just finished my second round of chemo for breast cancer. So I really need the support right now. Do you think you can help. I just started back at the gym about a month ago and have not seen anything on the scale but have lost a pants size!! What next??? :)

I've been hovering between 158-156 - can't seem to break from it again. I did get all the way down to 153 last week, but went right back up again. My biggest challenge lately seems to be salt, and I'm no a salt lover at all. For the most part it's sea salt, but still it appears to cling. Also avocados and too many dehydrated sweets. I just don't seem to have the focus I need to eat right.

I am still trying and realize that if I didn't have you guys to keep me in check it would, more than likey, be MUCH worse. Thanks for the cheers and support~

Shanna77, I am also very encouraged by your story and hope that you will continue to share with us as you go.

    Have a great day everyone!

Maraw-I am struggling with salt too. I even had a little bit of cooked food last night . I desperately need to go grocery shopping and didn't have much fruit in the house to eat. So when I was very hungry, I caved to the cooked . Maybe we need to make a committment for 1 week to stay away from all salt and to keep our fat intake to 10-15%? Would you be interested in doing that with me? I like to track what I eat on nutridiary.com. It really helps me stay focused on what I am eating.

Shanna77-great job on what you are doing for your health. If there is one thing that keeps me motivated to stay raw more than anything, it is my kids. I want to do everything I can so that I will be here for them. I am impressed that you are taking charge of your health. Good for you! Stick to the raw diet and that weight will come off faster than you think.

Yes!!!! Thanks for that. I'll go check out that web site today. In the meantime, I am going to focus on grapefruit and greens today. I seem to be craving grapefruit lately and I haven't been eating greens like I should. I am going to make some nice dressings - that will be my fat - and see if gets me through. Great idea Mango - thanks!

    Cool holidays

Thanks for your support girls. Right now I am trying to focus on how I feel instead of the scale but with the hollidays around the corner I'm a little worried. I try and make food I can eat but I also have to make "normal food" for everyone else. I'm trying to make my life as simple as possible. Any suggestions for staying true to me and still staying sane around the holidays?
I also have a problem with salt but I find and more fresh herbs you don't need the salt as much.

I am definitely making my mind up right now that I am going to stay raw through the Holidays. If I don't make that decision now, I will never do it. I will cave at the first temptation. I plan on treating myself to some very yummy raw gourmet meals on the holidays and lots of desserts. I am not going to be concerned about how much fat I eat on those days. It will be a free for all of raw food .

I will return to a low fat raw diet the day after thanksgiving and the day after Christmas. I am really looking forward to trying some new recipes.

Yesterday I ate 1300 calories and my fat was at 10%. I lost half a pound. My weight is stuck at 149 with 9 pounds left for my goal weight. I am determined this week to push everything I have to stay focused and lose some weight.

How did you do Maraw and others?

    Thumbs up lost 2lbs

Since joining the web site 3 Days ago I have lost 2lbs by being strictly raw! It was easier than I thought but reading all your posts made me more motivated to stay completely raw!!! I am so excited to have found this site. Any suggestions on the weekend because that's when I tend to fall off the wagon. Especially since my husband still eats meat!!!!
