Usually protein will go up to about 8%, and stay there unless the fat gets higher.

If you work on upping the carbs, eating lots of fruit and greens, you'll do fine. The problem with most protein rich sources is that they are also rich fat sources so the fat percentage goes up along with the protein percentage.

So, is 8% a good percentage to shoot for? It is so easy to get the fat up but not the protein .

Rawfigure-I do have a vitamix and a juicer. I do juice greens with my carrots. I just don't know how to calculate that on nutridiary.com. I am going to try to get more greens in my smoothies.

Mango - if you're trying to follow 8-1-1 - Dr. Doug uses 10% protein as a maximum, not something to strive toward. Hope this helps!

Well, I'm on my period right now, so I'm probably just losing some water weight. I mean, I'll take what I can get, but I don't think it's honest weight loss. We'll just see what the scale reads tomorrow...

    Thanks for the encouragement anyway.

Douglas Graham's simplified raw plan of 80 percent carbohydrates, 10 percent protein and 10 percent fat. It's mostly accomplished by eating two or three big fruit meals and a salad for dinner.

If anyone here is looking to gain 15 pounds, I think we'd all be happy to chip in and take up a collection of some of our unwanted pounds. ;)

So far, so good today. I'm supposed to be having PMS right now, but I'm not. No headache, no cramps, NO CRAVINGS! I'm pretty amazed. I'd never know it was any particular day of the month at all.

Oh yeah, except that I overreacted during An Incident at the gas pump this afternoon.

my weight has stabilized, and I don't think it will let me loose anymore (not that I want to, I am happy) but I am here to be a support for everyone! Just wishing you guys luck on your journey! yay! more veggies and fruits! yay!

By the way, Maraw, you are beautiful as you are now! (I know this b/c I have seen you silly!)

By the way, what she mentions above is Dr. Graham's 8/10/10 plan... I support that strongly, having met him and worked with him this past summer... living on lower fats has changed my complete aura. Don't forget it is persimmon season!

    Hi Anna,

I just saw this post today and want to participate but will do so in the background since I am already posting under the 30-day challenge, which I have now made it through 2 days of :) (Gotta appreciate the little accomplishments along the way).

Below is a tip I saw about avo's that I thought might interest you...It is from Elaina Love but I found it in Karen Knowler's e-book of Best Kept Secrets from the World's Greatest Raw Food Chefs. Perhaps you could try it, maybe doubling the celery and halving the olive oil.

All the best to you and everyone else in the quest to -15...

Secret #5: How To Stretch Your Avocadoes!
By Elaina Love | Author of Elaina's Pure Joy Kitchen | www.purejoyplanet.com
To stretch your avocados when making guacamole: puree 2 stalks of celery with 2 Tbs. of olive
oil in a food processor for every avocado you will be using. Mix it all together with seasonings
and it is so green and creamy, they'll never know it's not all avocado. It's also a great way to
    get kids to eat celery.

I did OK I guess. I didn't eat too much, but I didn't really get to eat what I wanted. I was in the car ALL DAY! I didn't take much with me and when I came home for a few minutes, I just grabbed something to make my headache go away.

(I posted my food list in previous edited post)
Not a really great day, but not horrible either. Looking back, I really missed fruit today. I usually eat a lot more fruit than I did this afternoon. I'll focus on that, plus more water tomorrow.

I am dehydrating something right now that I want to photograph and possibly use for the cover of the calendar. We'll see if it turns out "pretty" enough. Either way, I KNOW what I am having for lunch tomorrow!

What about everyone else...? Come on, brag - we can take it! ;)

I did okay - I was close to 8/10/10 (fat was actually 11 percent, but that's still pretty close!) and, for the first time, I stayed within my nutridiary calorie limit.

I had bananas, a box of raisins, and 2 apples during the day, and then for dinner, a big salad with half an avocado. For dressing, I pureed half a pineapple with a teaspoon of tahini. It wasn't too bad, but burned my tongue a little.
