    Default Questions about greenstar juicer

Can someone tell me if I am using carrots and apples they each require to use a different screen for each fuit or vegetable. Do I change in the middle of juicing? Also it seems that my juices are so thick. Do you always have to strain the juice? My friend has a cheap juicer and she doesn't have much pulp in her juice and I do. Can anyone give me any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Cindy

    Hi,
I use a greenstar and don't change screens ever, I always use the fine. I get no pulp with carrots and other hard veggies. With apples it varies depending on how firm they are and if I'm alternating with hard produce. I've spoken with a Greenstar employee who said that there is no need for the soft fruit attachment if you adjust (loosen) the knob. The pulp isn't perfectly dry, but I get very little pulp and I only do this when not alternating. Using firm produce makes a huge difference, I did organic apples last week and they weren't very crisp and there was some pulp I had to strain. I also did cranberries and didn't need to strain because there was so little. The Greenstar takes some getting used to, feel the pulp and see how fast it is getting pushed out and try to adjust the knob if needed. Hope that helps.

Nope. One screen the whole time.
