    Smile emotional/psychological improvements?

    Hello beautiful raw foodist!

    I was reading this:
"Your own detoxification process will allow you to take on a wider vision of yourself and your potential. You will laugh for no reason. You will be inwardly happy. When one radiates health and vitality, one no longer draws on the vitality of other humans, animals, and plants. This is due to oneÂ’s increased energy that diffuses from areas of greater concentration to areas of lesser concentration. As energy diffuses, it also creates a magnetism that manifests itself in the form of charisma. A clean body is charismatic."

So I was thinking if any of you notice big emotional/mental/psychological improvements on your personality since going raw. If yes what are this changes?

I'm sure you have wonderful experiences to share on this subject. I'm really interested in hear your answers :)

    TIA

Well yes, it's quite simple actually - I'm just happier!
When I wake up I'm awake and looking forward to seeing people, go to school, to work etc. Nothing seems to get me down. I'm more at peace w. myself...It's hard to explain, but I feel more...centered, like, I'm no longer fluttering about not really feeling anything.
It's a warm, sturdy feeling inside - and it's growing bigger w. each day that passes on 99,999% raw diet (the occASIONAL not so raw carob/olive).
oh yeah, and the sex is soooo goood to, which kinda makes me happy also I think Alba

There's a similar current thread going on about this so some of this will be a bit of a repeat. I am on day 20 of my juice fast - have lost 27 pounds and feel amazing.

I had leveled out at a weight that I just could not seem to get below even though I was predominately raw. I began the juice fast and about 6 days into it, when I was well below the annoying weight, a sheer sense of euphoria came over me. Not happiness - euphoria. For me this is not normal by any stretch of the imagination. Since I work in the entertainment world, I confess to being jaded. It takes so much to impress me that for me to feel something like euphoria is just opening up a whole new dimension.

While I felt I had a decent spiritual relationship with God, during this fast I have been exploring that even further. It's almost like my emotions and spirt have detoxed as well as my body.
I refuse to tiptoe quietly through life only to arrive safely at death. I intend to slide in, thoroughly used up and yelling, "Wow! What a ride!"

    Hi there,

I've had amazing changes in my emotional and mental healthI I used to have depression and anxiety and panic attacks. My panic attacks were so bad that I couldn't drive on the freeway at all. Now I drive about 30 miles on the freeway to get school several times a week, that alone is amazing to me!! I used to take antidepressant medication. Now I am so much more happy and upbeat all the time. I have frequent outbursts of real joy for no apparent reason. I'm actually looking forward to the rest of my life now and know that everything will be just fine. I have much more confidence in myself. I have more interest in many things and the energy to pursue them. I used to get down on myself because I thought I was lazy, it turns out that I was just toxic. :-) I originally went raw to heal fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue and was very relieved to heal those two horrible conditions, but honestly if somehow I could suddenly go back to cooked food and not suffer relapses of my physical health problems, I would prefer to stay raw to keep all the mental and emotional benefits. It's almost like I am an entirely different person! (in a good way). I think eating a raw diet lets you become the person you were meant to be.

CHeck out this quote, it's from the home page of another great raw site : www.rawfoodexplained.com

"To illustrate what true health is, let me quote Prof. Arnold Ehret from his book "Rational Fasting":

"If your blood is formed from eating pure foods, your brain will function in a manner that will surprise you. Your former life will take on the appearance of a dream, and for the first time in your existence your consciousness awakens to a real self-consciousness.

Your mind, your thinking, your ideals, your aspirations and your philosophy changes fundamentally in such a way as to beggar description.

Your soul will shout for joy and triumph over all misery of life, leaving it all behind you. For the first time you will feel a vibration of vitality through your body (like a slight electric current) that shakes you delightfully."

    Blessings,

    Thanks for your responses guys!

Freetarian, I'm not a frutarian but I know one and he is a really nice guy. Are you new on frutarian diet?

Alba wow! wonderful. I'm very happy that you are feeling great. BTW congrats for the 99,999% ;)

Raine, thanks. Mmmh juice fast sounds like something that I have to do soon. I really need something like euphoria this days.

Well, my experience is that I overcome depression and chronic fatigue (psycological) few weeks before start raw. Then, after some months, I passed for something similar a emotional detox, and I was feeling wonderful. But now, I don't know... I'm strugglig with some weird feelings, crying without reason, etc. some days. So I really need to hear some more success stories regarding this topic. I really apreciate your help :)

    Thanks!!

Hmm, I haven't really thought about how often I get those really awesome peak experiences of joy but they are happening more and more frequently. I'd say, probably once or twice a month now, compared to never! I do find that I feel them more often when I eat a very simple, pure, low fat raw diet of mostly fruits. When I've eaten more fats and complicated foods, I feel a definite lowering of my overall vibration and mood.

    Blessings,

Oh, I'm eating too much fats, an avocado a day and about 15 olives... and some nuts too

Yeah, I think is time to mono fruit and cut off the fats. I want to do fast, but I just couldn't stand the idea. I think it's an emotional related issue. Time to time

    Thank you so much!

Yeah, moments of spontaneous, unexplainable joy. I've had those.

Plus, just the overall feeling of being electric. Hard to explain.
haul that hammer up over your shoulder.
    swing bolder, and bolder.

Oh good, it's not just me! Yep, at least once every week or two I am overcome by unexplainable joy. I never knew why. But I certainly never felt like this on cooked food! Then I was usually depressed or using food to mask some sort of pain. Yesterday I had another of these "joy" hours walking home church. I wanted to reach out and touch every tree I walked past. The electricity was palpable, and it flowed through me like a current. I kept saying over and over to myself, "The world is so beautiful! And I'm so lucky to be a part of it!"
