    Default Consider this # 2 ...

Having just responded to a thread where the person feels that eating raw is limiting (paraphrasing) because "people are so concerned with being 100% raw that they are isolating themselves from family, friends, social events."

Personally, I feel that when people wrap themselves around their family, friends and social events then they are limiting themselves.

Many of the issues that I've experienced with people I work with is their fear ~ fear that IF they are prosperous, IF they eat 100% raw, IF they don't drink, IF they don't do this or that, then they will lose their friends, their families, etc.; They wont be accepted by society. Well, hopefully, they wont be. Why do I say that? Because that is their problem. They live small because they are trying to please those who will hold them back from being, doing and having all they want in this lifetime.

The biggest problem I have personally found which has stunted my growth is "trying" to fit in. I'm like a square peg "trying" to fit in round holes. It's only when I stopped "trying" to fit in, that the people I actually "fit" with, found me. Yup! The attractor factor at work/play again.

Is it easy? Not really. Is it worth it? Absolutely!!!

I do workshops, teleconferences, etc. based on: "Who would you be if society had not interfered?" THAT is the problem of most people. They are trying so hard to be the person others want them to be that they don't know who they are.

If I eat healthy, I can't go drinking with my friends. Sure you can yet, is that what makes your heart sing? Do you REALLY have fun when out drinking or do you just pretend that it's fun? This is what is "supposed" to be fun, isn't it?

Actually, when I went out where people drank, dancing was fun. Smelling the booze on their breath (and at that time, coming home stinking of cigarette smoke) and attempting to make sense of the conversation was not fun. So! Now, I dance! I can dance at home and/or go places where folk dance and don't serve liquor. I come home HIGH and not from drugs. I wake up refreshed in the morning ready to start a new day NOT hung over saying what a great time I had the night before ~ even though I don't remember much of it and had to bring all my skills into play driving drunk.
(Yeah, I know some will say they don't drink to get drunk yet, even ONE drink impairs one's awarness and perception.)

As far as family goes, well, that's part of the "society" many are trying to please, isn't it? It's as though they never grow up. For me, IF people, those I've known as "friends" and those I call "relatives" don't accept and support me, I don't need to participate in their lives. THEY ARE NOT MY FRIENDS!!!

That goes for anyone in my life. Either support me in my aliveness ~ support me in my well-being or begone!!! That simple!

Yet you know? It's like eating raw. Alissa wrote a book called Living on Live Foods. It is a HUGE book which will answer just about every question one has YET! Instead of reading this book over and over, people have to complicate things.

Eat what you want, when you want, as long as it's raw!!! How SIMPLE can that be?

She even took it a step further and made up meal plans. She answered the protein question! She even set up a board where folk can ask their complicated redundant questions! Sheesh folk! KISS! (Keep it simple sexy).

It's like qigong. It is sooooo simple and is soooo beneficial yet, people cannot believe it makes a difference because it is soooo simple.

Suggestion ~ simplify your lives. Eat simply, move simply, play with your food and celebrate whatsoever.

    Enough said ~

Life is a love song wanting to be sung, wishing to be danced, while hoping to be remembered.

    Whoa, Revvell!

That's gotta feel better! I took a deep breath and I feel much better!

You said a mouth full and it came out so inspirational and honestly...just love that about you girl or gurl as you put it....lol.

Fear, if, but, should....all could be deleted from societal language and people would deal with things alot better and from the heart!

Speaking of the heart.....feeling and thinking at much deeper levels (that was on my appreciation/abundance thread today).

Thanks, Revvell for reinforcing that for me!

Well said Rev, my sheep-petting friend.

That mousse is starting to sound good to me. Funny how avocadoes can go in so many directions, I was actually thinking of making a bunch of guac earlier!

Well, who's to say what you shouldn't say?

When we were two (or there-abouts) we spoke the truth from our perception. Our parents became embarrased because we said what they were thinking (or what they'd said in front of us yet, were too "polite" to say. So, we were shushed and taught how to lie.

I've had people's children say something to me which would be the absolute truth to them and their parents would say "Now, tell Revvell you're sorry". I'd ask the child "Are you sorry". They'd say "no". I'd say "Well, then, don't apologize. I don't want you lying to me". Want to see an angry parent? How do children grow up speaking the truth? How do we, as adults, change from being liars (yes, that's what we are taught to be) to finding who we are when all around us we're taught not to express our feelings (IF we can even get in touch with those)?

I've had experiences with people when I ask them how they feel about something tell me "I don't know what/how I'm supposed to feel". Isn't that sad? We, as humans become so out of touch with our feelings ~ we live on thought based emotions, not what we truly feel.

"Thought-based emotions" ~ we create emotions by what we tell ourselves. Ever get angrier and angrier because of what you're telling yourself about a situation? Or sadder, and sadder? Why not happier and happier?

See what you started Veganforlife??? lol

Let me first apologize for spelling your name wrong...duh - it's right in front of me in black and white...I'm a ditz (at times)
Second - I really like your attitude.
Third - I really say what I want. I'm 52, menopausal and I tell folks like it is. If they don't like it, tough stuff. I tell the truth, or what I perceive to be the truth. I try never to hurt anyone's feeling, that is something I wasn't placed on this circle for. I think if we were all more truthful with each other, the world would be a way better place.
Gosh, think how hard it would be for all the politicians to be truthful - YIKES!

Some people will hurt their own feelings mis-perceiving what one says and others will not want to hear the truth. Is what it is. Sometimes folk need to a hit, others need a gentle touch. It's up to us to use awareness and hopefully get it right. Can't/wont always happen though.

It is, therefore, evident that it is possible to cure by foods, aliments and fruits; but as today the science of medicine is imperfect, this fact is not yet fully grasped. When the science of medicine reaches perfection, treatment will be given by foods, aliments, fragrant fruits and vegetables, and by various waters, hot and cold in temperature.
