Default Raw changing sense smell & taste

IÂ’ve been 100% raw 3 weeks and IÂ’m having some new taste and smell experiences. For example, if an orange is peeled in the kitchen I can smell it throughout the house. Granted I have a small house, but I donÂ’t recall that before. And all of a sudden I can smell lettuce. I didnÂ’t think it had a smell even though it does smell familiar, I just donÂ’t recall smelling it before and now itÂ’s very noticeable to me. Plus IÂ’m getting some odd impressions. Today celery had a metallic smell to me, and my apple/cucumber/carrot/tomato juice had a slight caramel flavor to me. Very strange. IÂ’ve had odd taste and smell changes in the past when going on and off antidepressants and other various drugs. Any thoughts?

I have experienced the same things....

My body is working at a much higher ability now. Smell, Touch, All senses.

Tastes has changed completely. I can taste every little ingredient in things now. Before I couldn't tell anything.

    It is a blessing.....

A lot of time it's other people's smells (body/breath odor) that disturbs me. It seems so much more putrid the more pure I am eating.

That is a big one for me too. I hate going into crowded places now. Check-out lines are the worst. You get to look at the shopping cart and smell the person buying all that junk.....

If my parents are cooking and I walk in the house I immediately can smell even the ingredients that are in tiny amounts. I can guess what they're having for dinner before I walk into the kitchen. Oh, and people's odors bother me more now too.

i had heard somewhere before that when you go vegetarian, after awhile, you have no b.o., and your poo doesn't stink, but i haven't really found any of that to be true. (i'm not doing raw yet, i really want to, but i'm going to wait until after we move--one major upheaval this month is enough!) unfortunately though, i'm still all stinky. any of you guys find that you're less stinky when raw?

Definitely odor-free poo, which is SO nice! Altho' @ the same time we become more sensitive to the odors of other people's not so pleasant poo. As for B.O. - I never had it before detox - but now, the more heavily I detox, the worse I smell - ugh - I can hardly stand to be around myself!

You mentioned that you would occasionally have a strange sense of smell/taste when you were going on or off meds.

Perhaps you're detoxing those very same meds. Just a thought.
