210 Days Raw!!!
Well, here I am at 210 days raw.
Gosh, I just NEVER thought I'd get here, at 7 months raw. LOL
and yet, I am
I did have a couple of slips, I accept that, and I've lost 84 pounds, I mean I am more than 1/2 of my weight loss to goal.
I am just so happy and jazzed about this.
people no longer recognize me. I saw a bunch of freinds this last fair, and they walked right by me, they also thought I had a face lift. LOL (not yet)
and I am just so happy to be on this path.
The one thing that I can say about eating raw food, is that it is just the right way to eat.
If you've ever eaten raw food for any length of time, then you will know what I mean by this.
I feel light, and free and like I can do anything, when I eat cooked, even just a bit, I have cravings, pain in my body, headaches, sinus attacks, it just amazes me that eating raw foods can clear up so much of the challenges that we have as a society, with hunger, disease and pain.
I am very pleased to be a part of this lifestyle, and I am so happy to be here with all of you, my raw family, that I love so very much.
you know what?
WE RAWK!!!!

Good for you RP!
And I'm so glad you are not "starting over" at day 1 again just because you had something cooked.
Let nothing, mental or physical impede your progress!

RP...you are such an inspiration to me!! CONGRATULATIONS on 210 days raw! I want so badly to be where you are! I have silly fears that are holding me back. Today, I have started completely 100% raw....I have weeks where I do well...and then slip. When I slip, it takes me weeks (now it takes weeks...it used to take months...so that's progress, right?). Anyway....I've been on and off raw for a year. I have been in much prayer as to why I am holding myself back. But I'm starting OVER today...but now completely over, I have gained much knowledge the past year, and am continuing to grow, but I see what you have, and even though I may only have about 20-30 lbs to release....I still want the VIBRANT HEALTH that I KNOW comes from eating fresh, whole, RAW foods. LIFE GIVES LIFE.
RP...do you mind sharing...I mean, I know you have been on the boards for awhile before making the committment to go 100%...so what was YOUR turning point?
Thank you for posting, I needed this encouragement today! I will have to remind myself EVERYDAY why I am here, on this board....I came searching for health, and support....so here I will stay. Thank you sooooo much....and again, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
God Bless,
Wendi

BRAVO!!!
It is, therefore, evident that it is possible to cure by foods, aliments and fruits; but as today the science of medicine is imperfect, this fact is not yet fully grasped. When the science of medicine reaches perfection, treatment will be given by foods, aliments, fragrant fruits and vegetables, and by various waters, hot and cold in temperature.

Congratulations RP :)
You're a success in this journey, slips don't account for the wonderful positive loving attitude you've carried through with you. We're all human and going to be ups and downs, but look at the energy you take out of it!

thanks all

this is what happened for me, It may be different for each person.
I went raw off/on/off/on and then some,
each time I went back to raw, I was renewed, but it still would take months sometimes, for me to commit that 100%, no matter what I tried to do, if you read much of my posts, you can read about the struggles, the advice, the chastisation of myself, UGH!!!
Well, I am blessed with many angels in my life, my son is one of them, he came up to help me and my bf add a bathroom and do some remodleing in our home and he wanted to go 100% raw, I said,"yes, that's fine, but let's wait until after my birthday." he said, "okay mom, whatever you wish to do, but then what do we wait for after that?" LOL
he got me, so we went out to dinner that night, as our "last supper" LOL
and vowed to start the next morning, then of course, we had the left overs from the night before, LOL
SOOOO human of us.
THEN finally, he and I both said, TODAY IS THE DAY, that was 3/16, and my birthday is 3/18, so we started, I made all kinds of wonderful raw goodies, enchiladas, raw pizza, truffles, cakes, pies, juices, fresh fruits, each day, we have 7 real meals/snacks
so I would make a huge smoothie for breakfast, then about 2 hours later, I'd bring out a huge fruit tray, then we'd have a big lunch, usually something like enchiladas or pizza or burgers, then we'd have more fresh fruits for snack, then a big sit down dinner, I mean huge, with lots of goodies, I always made tons of food, then later at night, I'd have some special snack, either a bunch of spiced nuts and ice cream, or chips and salsa and candy, or at least a couple of good things.
I always made special care to make sure that there was way too much, that I took into account all the textures, flavores, and heat, hot and spicy, or cool and refreshing etc.
I made sure there was salty and sweet, smooth and crunchy, all the chef stuff that I learned years ago to satisfy more than just appetite, etc.
well, after my son let, it had been about 2 weeks, and off he went, I was hooked again, and I enjoyed the food so much, I just stayed with it, and here I am.
But, it is the same thing that Alissa says in her book, make tons of food, and lots of variety, and just have it available to eat, it's that easy.
I just followed Alissa's advice to a "T" and here I am.
86 pounds lighter and feeling great.
