    Default What's for Dinner??

Hi All, Hope everyone's weekend has been great, I was just wondering what everyone was having for dinner.
I am planning a salad with romaine, tomatoes, cucumbers, red peppers, pear, and fresh basil. Banana and strawberry smoothie for dessert.
    Sounds good to me!

Hey Fresherson19 - your dinner sounds good, however, I would do the smoothie first, wait a bit (20 minutes or so), then do the rest. But that's just me. I eat my fruits first; for digestive purposes. I've read if you eat a meal, although yours is salad, so maybe it wouldn't, but if you eat a meal, then fruits, that's what can cause (some folks) an upset stomach, gas or other ugly bodily functions.
Me? Dinner? I'm gonna "heat up" (in the 'hydrator) a slice of Alissa's Calzone that I made yesterday. It IS good!
    So what's everyone else having?

I'm thinking lunch tomorrow with a new friend, first time meet tomorrow at my house. Since she hates to cook I emailed her and told her she doesn't have too. I was promoting living foods. Right now I got pizza crust making. the same recipe I use for crackers. It's a flax pizza/cracker crust. I plan on putting my marinara on fresh, then top with veggies and calling it pizza. Also a raw soup, like avocado basil perhaps, fresh salad with dressing, and perhaps banana/nut lemon cookies dehyudrated or even RP's brownies. Want this person to be a friend, so hoping I gain one vs. losing one. She hates onions so respecting that wish.

    Smile For dinner

I made Allissa's Pesto Pasta and used shredded daikon radish for the pasta (I saw Victoria Boutenko do that on a DVD - use daikon radish, maybe it was turnip tho?) Anyway, it was very zesty and yummy!

I think fresherson can have the salad first as long as there are no added fats in the dressing! Because all of her "veggies" are really fruit if you know what I mean :) Carrots and broccoli in the salad and I would say the smoothie should be first!

Oh yeah. I agree. I just mentioned that for those that don't realize that eating fruit first is important. ;)

In the afternoon (after walking around trying to find the meetup, hungry though carrying food, I went to the office and called): Chocolate nut blueberry smoothie and salads.
In the evening: Pineapple and frozen fruit smoothie. Then I finished the salad while working.

I enjoyed some stuffed yellow peppers with jalepeno and avocado pine nut filling warmed in the dehydrator and a nice salad with lemon mint dressing and some Kim Chee. A fanatastis fudggie cookie with almond butter for dessert.

    Stuffed Peppers:

    1 avo
    1c pine nuts
    2 jalapenos
    2 cloves garlic
    2T apple cider vinegar
    salt
    6 dates

blend in processor and full in pepper halves. dehydrate for 5-8 hrs so, so delicious and filing.

I haven't "made" anything for myself all weekend. (other than a few salads) I've only had a lot of fresh fruits. So, this morning I was up at 5 am making the pizza crust for dinner tonight. I'm soaking everything else for the cheese and sauce and can't wait to eat that tonight. But in between I plan on some pea soup for lunch...and some stuffed mushroom caps for a late snack to tide me over. Yummmmmm. I love when I actually take the time to feed myself so good! I told my husband, this week, I'm planning wayyyyyyyyyy far ahead and lining up my deydrated treats for the weekend. So, then I can slap them together. It's easier that way. ;)
    Raspberries, almonds & kiwi...oh,my! :D
