How much is too much?
Is it possible to have TOO MUCH of a Raw food (for growing 2 & 3 y.o who have no weight or health issues)?
e.g. My son loves (soaked) Brazil nuts...he could eat them all day. Should I just let him have as much as he wants?
Ditto nutmilks & some kinds of fresh & dried fruit...

I don't have experience with that, but I had an idea that maybe in moderation-a good variety. I've heard lots of people on hear that nuts can provide a good way to have weight gain. Maybe try different fatty things like avocados, etc. I would try to limit hight-sweet fruits and try to incorporate more low-sugar fruits like berries, kiwis, etc. they have less sugar and may not be as bad for their teeth. anyone think different? Is there a list on here somewhere of the low sugar fruits?

I think it is important to let your children learn to listen to thier body tell them what they need. Make sure you offer other foods too though.

rawjojo, No it comes from another source I have on how to cure acne with raw foods. Since a lot of sugar aggravates Candida, that is not good for acne sufferers at all. The man recommends consuming fruit is okay, but try to consume the less sugary fruits and those fruits high in phytonutrients. those include all the berries, kiwis, lemons and limes. He recommended to include only one serving a day of the sweet fruits such as bananas, apples, etc., but that is for acne sufferers. i believe cassey recommended green granny smith apples as a good fruit for candida sufferers too. you can probably look up fruits with those nutrients in google, etc.

I agree with the everything in moderation. I don't limit the amount of foods my kids eat (as long as it is raw), but I do limit the amounts of nuts and dried fruits they get. Mostly because of the effect that they have on the teeth.

Kids are using the fuel to grow. I like the idea of intuitive eating.
Keep offering a wide range of things.
If he's 100% raw, nut milks, nuts, seeds, seed milks, sprouts? (maybe they can be tempted if they're growing them themselves,) are all important sources of fuel for healthy growth.
Prevention rather than Cure!

Thanks for all your replies. My kids do get a variety (though veggies are mainly through juices atm - though we're starting on dips too). Still they have their "favourites of the moment"...currently brazil nuts for Thomas & cashews for Lilian! They like a wide variety of fruits so I guess all is OK...They're certainly full of energy!!
