Who is out there NOT living in the US?
We have just moved to Indonesia and I was wondering what other people's experiences outside the US have been. I can get more organic products than I thought I would be able to, so that's good. The array of produce is astounding.
I have not been here long enough to get reactions from many people about eating raw. How about for you? What do you hear?

Hi Marci,
I am from Germany but am living in China at the moment.
Last year saw an increase of organic vegetables, but most raw items I have to order from abroad.
Eating raw is here something like a "never heard of it" thing ;)
cheers,
melanie

Montreal, Canada
1 partially raw restaurant (Les Vives), they serve a raw meal once a week
and the rest is the same as what Alex said :)

Nova Scotia, Canada!
I live on Cape Breton Island. Produce prices tend not to be too bad, but fresh fruit is very expensive. I don't have access to any ready-made raw dishes and I don't order things online because the exchange rate is often pricey due to our crappy worthless money. Haha.
My raw food is all made at home and I'm usually heavy on the veggies because they are cheaper.
:) :) :)

I heard about that restaurant, eatyourbroc!
I lived in Guelph for almost 20 years - only an hour away from T.O. but I haven't made it there yet - is on the schedule though.
Thanks!

Anyone else?
I know there was someone in the Netherlands.
Surely we can't be it??

Denmark here.. Raw is very rare, no restaurants but a fair variety of organic fruit and veggies. Out of a population of 5 million I know of just about 10.. "Wow, can you really do that" is the responce I get most often lol

I'm from Australia, I just joined today and am starting the raw food diet tomorrow! I can't wait! I'm a vegetarian so hopefully that will work in my favour. I've never heard of the raw diet here in Melbourne.

* Only 1 raw restaurant in Amsterdam/Netherlands, they also sell
raw food products, raw food preperation classes, yogha.
Non-commercial foundation !!
* Pretty good organic farmersmarkt in Amsterdam on Saturday.
A girl there presses wheatgrass, sells raw-items, gives workshops
* there is only one organic food chain, no competition
* Something is in the air, rawfood will rise here, I smell it
* If i win the lotery, I am gonna import all your lovely raw products

Winnipeg, Canada
No raw food resturants that I know of
There are a couple vegan resturants and a few vegetarian ones.
We have one totally organic grocery store (again, there may be more but thats the only one I know of)! I could spend hours looking at all the goodies there

I'm in the UK, and I've found that most restaurants are very accommodating if you ask nicely and will usually whip up a choice salad.
Where I live there are a lot of people who grow their own veg - its a great way to get to know your neighbours
