Default Any Raw Foodist Out There From MN??

I just started this raw food lifestyle- Today is actually "Day 1". I have been slowly moving into it for the past month and a half with drinking 2 quarts of green smoothies everyday. All of my friends are still living the "college life" and don't understand ANYTHING when it comes to health. I love hanging out with them but I know that it's going to be very hard now that I have made the decision to change to 100% raw! I was just wondering if there is any young raw foodist out there around my area. I am 21 yrs old and would love to hang out with someone with the same beliefs for once...instead of always being the "odd health freak" of the group! :) I live in Buffalo, MN which is about 20 min from St. Cloud and 40 min from the cities.

I'm a little south of you...just wanted to encourage you to make a trip to town for dinner at Ecopolitan! It is the best raw restaurant!! The strawberry marinara is completely awesome...the best meal ever. Their desserts are usually amazing, I had a lemon merange pie there once that was amazing.

I hope to be up there having dinner on Oct 4th.

Hi Kerilyn, Welcome to the board it is a pleasure to meet you and welcome to raw food. It's nice to have another person from MN here, I am actually from the UK but have lived in MN now for 15yrs. Anyway I wanted to let you know that I live in Bloomington and so a drive but not to terribly far and as far as I know there aren't many of us on here from MN which is a shame.
Anyway I am 37, I know you are looking for others around your age and as Smatsy said there is the Ecopolitan Restaurant that is wonderful if you haven't tried it yet, I have seen others there your age too. Anyway I am going to the Ecopolitan on Saturday for dinner so I can't wait . Well feel free to email me if you want or just reply on here either way it's up to you.
    Take care for now
    Blessings Karen

    Default Thanks!

    Thanks guys!

I have been to the Ecopolitan Restaurant about 2 months ago. It was actually my first time ever hearing about the Raw Food Lifestyle. Being thrown in there without any knowledge behind it, I didn't appreciate it as much as I know I would today. After dinner that night is when I started to look into things though. I haven't stopped researching yet!

Thanks again for the support and I'll have to go back there SOON! I'm nervous, I'm leaving for Branson, MO on Monday with my family and we are going to be there for a WEEK! I am bringing my Vitamix for green smoothies, but going out to eat every night is going to be really hard for me (especially being so new to this)! Wish me luck and I'm open to any suggestions or easy raw dressings I can make down there for salads!
