Default Shout it from the hilltops

I was sitting in a plane for far too long yesterdaywith nothing to do but think.
Weather in Tampa was bad and we were put in a holdong pattern for too long and ran low on fuel so we had to go back to Jacksonville to fuel up. I wanted to shout "let me out and I will go and visit Galen" but that is another matter.
Anyway for the benefit of all you people that keep quiet about your raw diet in case of attracting scorn, I came up with the following analogy.

The road we have to travel in life is like trying to cross a 7 lane highway and all the cars are moving fast.
We get up to the sidewalk and dash across and some make it but others are felled (and don't think REDWOODS here as we are but saplings).
Now we lucky people all know that two hundred yards up the road there is an overpass called "The Raw Food Overpass" where we can safetly cross but it is shrouded in mist so the others can not see it. We know that it is there either because a friend told us or we read it in a guide book.
Are you going to walk up to that overpass and walk quitly across while watching all your fellow men and women being mowed down on the road below.
I am going to run up and down the sidewalk and tell as many people as I can. Some are going to ignore me (or call me an idiot) and some will go immediatly but I think that the majority will get tired of waiting for an opening and will eventually just walk up the road to chance a look.

And so ends Mary's lecture for today
There is sufficient in the world for man's need, but not for his greed.

I agree with you. When I go to networking meetings, people see my food choices and, some just ask how I got it; others mention vegetarian which brings me to ~ raw vegan ~ if they want to know more, I go for it.

I'll be going to a teleconference on Friday. Requested what I wanted. Received a phone call last night that, even though the "NakedVegan" will be there, the food will not be so yet, they did ask her advice on what they could do for me.

As I've said before, I do what I do, and eat what I eat. Depending on what people have to say when asking about my food program ~ I'll respond in the moment. REALLY intersted? (watch to see if the eyes glaze over) Then, I'll inform. Looking to dispute? (never happens) I'd just turn the conversation to something else ~ or, nothing at all.

The point of all this is, for me, I'm so settled into who I am, what I do, what I eat that I'm comfortable talking about all this and people are either interested or not. As an adult I eat what I want with no apologies for it (WHO do I need to apolozie to?) and I ALWAYS play with my food.
