Default Young coconuts vs mature coconuts

I am having a hard time finding any young coconuts. I have checked many different stores and shops but haven't been able to find them so I just decided to buy the mature coconut. I know it isn't as good for you as the young one but is it still beneficial? Does anyone know if the brown mature coconut has been heat processesed at all while removing the outter husk?

    Hi Analeah,
The brown mature coconuts are not heat treated they are just older.
They just chop off the outer husk because that is the part that tends to mold.
Nutritionally im not sure if they are as nutritious as the younger ones or if the fat content is higher because the meat is thicker and more coagulated?
    Any one know?

Young coconuts are high in lauric acid, speed up weight loss and are antibacterial/fungal/candida in nature. They are a near perfect food, in their natural, untreated state. The fats they have are good for you! They are so delicious too!

They are also almost always irradiated, since they are imported and sit on docks for weeks on end before going through inspection. Irradiated foods have been shown to promote cancer and other toxic conditions. So, inform yourself, read up, use your judgement and decide if the good outweighs the negative in choosing this (and all other) foods!

Hmm, now I am confused? Are the mature coconuts the only ones that are irradiated or is it all coconuts? Also, I am not sure if I am understanding you correctly but are you saying they get that way from sitting in the sun or from another unnatural process? Thanks for all your help!
