    Very clueless gardener here.

I have a fairly big backyard(it's all grass!) & can probably plant a couple of things. I live in MD, & the weather is getting kind of cold(for me anyway). What veggies & fruits can I grow right now?

Oh. I also have little gardening tools & will not purchase anymore. I'm trying to save, & I think the seeds and trees may be tight for my budget already.

Of course, there's eatting bananas everyday, but I think my body would start craving for other things eventually. I'm even water-fasting right now, b/c my budget is low, hehe. I don't mind though, b/c I enjoy detoxing. I'm just concerned about the aftermath.

    Any advice?

IMO, gardening is both simple and complex. You learn from other gardeners, from reading, and from practise. Sometimes a plant takes off with little intervention, sometimes all the care in the world doesn't help. Each climate is different and even within the same geographic area there can be all sorts of micro-climates.

So I'd suggest a trip to the library to spend a few hours at least getting an idea about what will grow in your area and when and how. After this initial research, be prepared for a lifetime as an apprentice! You're never really finished learning how to garden.

Good luck! Gardening is one of the most rewarding ways to spend time.

depends on where you are. Right now I am seeding lettuces and kale and cabbage and stuff like that for a fall crop.
