Question Juicing People -- Help Please?

My juicer should arrive any day and I'm so excited. This is actually so funny, because I have for years sworn that I would never juice. Never ever ever. I was quite disparaging and arrogant because I just knew what was best -- and juicing certainly wasn't. (Ya know, my spiel was: ya gotta eat the whole fruit or veggie to get the benefit ... and no one would normally eat whole the amount of produce that one drinks when it's juiced.) As in most things, karma or whatever comes around to bite me in the ... um, well, you get the idea. So, now my Green Star Gold is on the way, and I'm doing a happy juicer dance, and I'm laughing at myself. Ha ha ha ha ha.

Anyway! My challenge is that I am food combining, so I won't be juicing the combinations of fruits and veggies that are almost always mentioned here and in recipes. Thus, my dilemma. What, oh what can I put together to juice?

I know I can experiment, but I'd much rather not juice things up together that I end up pouring down the sink ... especially when I can appeal to all you dedicated and experienced juicers.

So ... what are some winner veggies, both single and in combination?

In anticipation -- thanks sooooo much!

My favorite is carrot and apple- I slightly peel my carrots (I don't buy organic-) and I peel any type of apple (I like fuji best) About 5 carrots to 1 large apple or 2 small makes about 8-12 oz- ummmmm... It tastes really clean to me. I like the fat carrots best- I don't know why. But when I buy skinny ones, the juice has a really strong, almost concentrated taste to it- maybe the fatter ones have more water? I have no idea... just my observation...

I just saw that someone else posted cucumber-pear-apple ( I think) and that sounded really good-

The Cucumber juice has done wonders for my skin in just 2 servings this week- my pores are so small and my color is more balanced!! I love it! The taste is so, so- but the benefit is well worth it! I did straight cuc juice- next time I will try it with the pear and apple combined...

I also like Grapefruit juice... plain or with a pear. I tried to add a mango, and it was good, but it came out more like a smoothie- Mangos don't juice well in my machine. Lucky you to get one of the best on the market!

There are endless ways to juice! Have fun!

The cucumber juice sounds miraculous; I have large pores, too. Like I mentioned, I can't do fruits together with veggies since I'm food combining, but I'll definitely stock up on cucumbers. And, if you think of any all veggie combos, let me know.

    Thanks!

I make all kinds of veggie juices, and I guess my favorite would be carrot, apple and beet. Now, I only use a 1/2 of a beet, as it has such a laxitive effect if you use too much.

    There is a thread here:

These provide some wonderful recipes - this morning, I had grape and celery - talking about real good, real good it was!

Default Thanks -- but need to be ONLY veggies

    Thanks, SweetLips, for the links.

Your juice sounds great, too, but it whets my appetite for something I can't have since I can only have ALL vegetables together with NO fruit. I am needing to adhere to food combining guidelines which requires fruit to be eaten (or drunk!) separately, not combined with vegetables.

There were a couple of all vegetable juice combos in those links. I guess I was just hoping for more than 3 or 4. Like I said, I'm just trying to avoid disastrous mixtures without too much trial and error. There seemed to be so many people juicing on this forum, I thought there might be a few who drink all vegetable juices.

    Thanks so much for replying!!

Have you tried Carrot, Kale and Cucumber or Carrot, Kale and Celery? Or Carrot, Celery, Spinach-1 pound carrots, 2 stalks celery and 5-6 spinach leaves? Also, Carrot, Celery, Parsley... Adding ginger to these will help with digestion and add a zesty spice. I like the simplicity of just carrot and cucumber.
    Hope that helps

    You're welcome.
If the cucumbers aren't organic, I peel them.
