    Hi Lay Lay,

This might sound stupid, but it was this morning when I had the best best strawberries I've ever had from the farmer's market. When I was driving home from the market, I kept smiling and saying to myself, "God is so good to us to give us such good food". Usually, I like to eat while on the computer or watching tv. But when I had those strawberries today, for the first time, I didn't want to do anything but concentrate on each bite of the strawberries because they were just too good.

The day I got off high blood pressure meds after 10 years. Oh yeah, and realizing I love blueberries and mangos. I never knew they were so good.

Mine so far has been just feeling so good, picking carrots, lettuce, spinach, beets and beet greens, green beans, potatoes, and soybeans from my garden and chopping them into a salad.

Then, weeks later, hiking far far up the mountain, so far that I could see my house as an aero-photo, so far that ravens are nesting right below me on the rock cliff, wind blowing through the evergreens... I break into humming a quiet song that seems to be carried on the wind, by the trees, and I realize that I actually smell like I belong here. Amid the smells of fir trees and dirt and dog and moss, I smell like I am once again a child of Mother Earth!! That was my happiest moment so far. It's always been my goal to get back to Mother Earth, and, in this way, just one giant step closer to Great Mystery.
It was such a shock to smell my boyfriend, who has a meat-based diet. He didn't smell bad, but far different. O_O

Every RAW moment, is the best!

I'd have to say my happiest is when I was less than 100 pounds away from my goal weight.

Especially since I started with over 160 pounds to lose.

I was so happy to have finally gotten to that place in my health.

I've been happy, happy, happy with the delicious food since going raw. I still delight over every meal. God has put such delectable flavors in His foods. But my greatest delight has been the way other people's expectations have taken a back seat to my desire to use my own talents to help others. Seems that with physical detox came emotional and spiritual detox as well. I am free, free, free!

Appreciating the fabulous taste of fruits without my taste buds being numb from old SAD foods I'd been eating for so many years. Mangos or strawberries that just burst with flavor! Nothing added, just fresh sweet yummy fresh foods the way nature intended them to be eaten!

My First Day Raw was my best so far.

I sat at my computer and read stuff from the Raw boot camp and it all came together in one moment. All the years of this and that eating and in one moment it all crystalized into a clear moment.

Along with that, I realized that while living in the prison of eating that I was in, I had just been handed the keys to my cell and all I had to do was unlock it.

    RAW is the KEY

So here I am 54 days later and I am out of my cell and walking the path and leaving behind every day some of the old me.

People (my mom, grandmother, family, doctors, etc) telling me I look amazing and so healthy!

Oh and getting rid of my heartburn.

Enjoying every taste of my food, usually I just ate because I was hungry and nothing else. Now I enjoy it and savour being raw! I love it!

I must say someone came up to me last night, and said, "Are you getting younger?"

    LOL

I had to ask them how old they thought I was, they said, "oh about my daughter's age, 35", then another person, said, "No, I know she has a grown son, so she must be at least 40 to 44." then another person said, "well, I saw you two weeks ago, and you look about 10 years younger than you did then, and you looked young then."

    I am 53.

Oil seems to have the same numbing effect on my taste buds. I enjoy foods so much better when eliminating it. And I have more energy, too!
