Default looking for raw tahini in western portland, oregon

I'm visiting my sister in Beaverton, on the west side of Portland, Oregon. We'd like to create some recipes using raw tahini, but the only health food store my sister knows of (Trader Joe's) doesn't carry it. Does anyone know where we can get some?

Yep. Daily Grind on 41st and Hawthorne in Portland has it, in the produce section at the back. The containers come in at least two sizes. I almost bought some last week, but have some pre-made raw hummus I need to eat first.

Thanks Mcasburn! I know there is also a Whole Foods in Portland, and I'm pretty sure they have tahini, but I don't know if it's the raw kind, and I don't want to drive all the way over there just to be disappointed. I'll look up the Daily Grind and get directions on the web.

    Default raw tahini

Oh I have a simple solution for you! I live in the Portland area, and just this week I bought organic raw tahini (brand is MaraNatha) from the health food section at Fred Meyers!! I'd call the closest Freddies before you go and specify creamy and raw.

    Good luck.

Oh since you're in Beaverton, you are close to the New Season's in Hillsboro (Orenco Station). They just had a raw foods class there last night.

It's been discussed on another thread that Maranatha "raw" almond butter is NOT raw, so I'd suggest doing your homework on the brand before buying.
