Hi lfzg: I haven't been around much lately. In fact, if it hadn't been for ChaiLife, I wouldn't have seen this post.

My three year-old son has been going through a really hard time these past few weeks. His horrible rash has returned in spite of our total withdrawal from all things diary, gluten and processed. He has been eating almost 100% raw lately. I don't know if you saw the post back in March about pediatricians and food allergies, but that's what we thought it was. Well, for whatever reason, it has returned and he is miserable. He scratches all day and night and is bleeding all over the place. It looks very much like chicken pox, but isn't. I am distracted to say the least. It hurts me to see my precious child hurting the way he does and feeling helpless to comfort him. We have taken him to allergists, pediatricians, and now dermatologists. We are currently awaiting the results of a skin biopsy which I am not sure will really tell us anything. Our next step is homeopathic.

He also had Kawasaki's disease in February, so this tells me that something really crazy is going on with his immune system. But what!?

Sorry to vent, you can probably sense my frusteration. I did a little raw cooking last night to relieve stress (some people yell, some jog, I cook). I made a pretty decent looking lasagna. I'm going to dehydrate it a bit today and see how it turns out. I'll post some picture on the "food pics" thread if it is worthy...

Thanks so much for noticing my absense and for being concerned. I'm just wrapped up in what's going on around me - that's all. I hope to return VERY soon.

    Anna

-- I decided to post a picture of him in case some else sees this and has any thoughts on what it might be. All our doctors are well-meaning, but stumped thus far.

maraw, I feel so bad for the poor little guy. It doesn't look like chicken pox or measles for sure, the bumps are too raised. I really hope that you're able to figure it out somehow. I wish I had the answer... Has he had full allergy testing?

How frustrating for you and your son!

    Hi Maraw..

I have no clue on what it is but I do wish him healing! Poor little fellow, I'd be pretty distressed if I had a child suffering with that too!

My heart go out to your family, my daughter has a similar condition the first two years of her life; I feel for you.

You mentioned that her has been 100% raw for a loittle while could this be a sever detox symtom?

Also my daughter recently reacted very badly to a sandbox. The sand was not screened play sand but construction sand.

    All the best!

Oh, dear, my heart just breaks for your little guy.

Have you only taken him to traditional doctors? Have you tried any homeopathic or naturopathic doctors? They might be able to help.

    Keep us posted.

We are waiting for blood test and biopsy results, but have already decided that is our next step. We just thought it would be helpful to have all this in our pocket when we go.

Thanks everyone for your kids words of support and love. It means a great deal to me.

Oh, poor little guy; so sorry he and your family are going through this.

Can it be some sort of allergy? There are so many foods it could be. Something outside with which he has come in contact?

    Default question

I am so sorry he has to go through this... i can just imagine how your heart must be breaking fo rnot being able to do anything for him. but he us lucky to have you as a mom doing all you can to help.

i was just wondering... would it be possible that he had an allergy to his clothing? i hear some kids can be allergic to non organic cotton and preservatives used in cotton.
do you use a specific fabric softener or detergent?

have you heard from the biopsy yet?

my prayers are with your little guy!!

When you look at your poor little munchkin and they have no answers for you I know it is so hard.

The only thing I have to offer you is this,

My step mother developed a rash and spots like the ones on your son. Wanting to be fully honest with you she tried everything and almost every kind of conventional Doctor you could imagine. It was from her neck to her groin. She itched so terribly, No sleep, no eating, no comfort day and night. At one point she talked about death freely to be out of her misery.

Long story short, a neighbor moved in and my father asked if he could help him out and they started talking.. Turns out this guy was a doctor that had cured himself of cancer and took on individual patients with extreme illnesses. He walked in the door of their house, walked up to her and didn't even introduce himself or say anything and she just sat there and let him.
He looked at her eyes, looked at her tounge, lifted the back of her shirt, checked her hands and feet and said with confidence I know what is wrong with her.

    She has intestinal parasites.

He sat down on the spot and told my father what to get and what she would be doing everyday till she was cured. First thing? Yup you guessed it.. NO Cooked food. at first Very little fruit, 3 daily enemas (mostly water but some organic coffee), lots of fresh VERY pure water, there were herbs and some suppliments but I would not presume to mention what those were as I do not completely know.

She had been gradually getting worse for 2 years and within 2 weeks she was drying and crusting over. She followed it to the letter because he told her that if she didn't do what he told her, that he was done helping because he couldn't spare the time for people that wouldn't listen.

After 6 months she also passed what they think were 2 tapeworms as well.

PLEASE PLEASE understand... I am NOT diagnosing your son in anyway shape or form. NO NO NO I am simply throwing out for your information something that occured in my family and it might be something to look into if you see the need and if you lose all options.

If you think this is something that you might want to look into, I would look and find a Natural Doctor that is EXTREMELY well learned in treating parasites.
I would NOT suggest trying to treat your son without a NATURAL Doctor that understands the parasite issues as well as the nutritional as well.

I hope that I didn't scare you or upset you I just felt moved to share her story and I SO hope that they find how to help your son.

Maraw I am so sorry your little munchkin is having to go through this turmoil. I wish I had an answer. Maybe you have to look at everything from the fibers in his clothes to the soap and cleaners you use to the materials in the house? And it could be some kind of parasite as well.

I think it is a blessing that you are so in tune with all the environmental and lifestyle factors. I pray that you find what it is or what it isn't that you might be causing these bumps.

    All the best to you.
