    Default Pure

Has anyone ever heard of "PURE" bars? They claim to be raw and organic and their right next to the larabars. Everything looked fine in them except for one ingredient I can quite remember. But if anyone has heard of them and knows...Please let me know . Thanks

I had written to them & they said all except the cocoa one is raw. Here's their website:

There also is the Think Organic bar. I wrote the company but haven't heard back.

Thanks for your interest in the Pure Bar. All the bars are certified organic, kosher and vegan. The Cherry Cashew and Apple Cinnamon Pure Bars are 100% raw. The Chocolate Brownie is 94% Raw. Our website is www.thepurebar.com If you want to try a box, we'll add an extra bar of each flavor to your online order for free, just mention raw food talk. Thanks again!

They told me their bars are heated at 80-100 degrees.

Oh -- that's good, within raw limits. I like the apricot and coconut one in a pinch for something.

I just checked out Pure's site. It says they use brown rice protein. Anyone know the story on that?

The brown rice protein for the Pure Bar is produed at low temps (never above 90 degrees). Enzymes, not high heat, are used to separate the brown rice protein from the other substances (carbs, fiber etc.). Brown rice protein is also gentle on your digestive system.

Do you know what these enzymes are. Are they suitable for vegans

I thought the only type of rice that's considered raw is "Wild Rice". Isn't brown rice processed?

That's good to hear about the "Think Organic" bars. I'd been wanting to check into it, as I have seen them locally. :)

I had the Apple Cinnamon one yesterday for the first time. Yummy! I hope the store where I shop in Ohio sells them.

They taste good & can be addicting. I like the cherry & apricot the best.
