Default ? about cutting board over burners.

How the heck do you clean the board? I saw one a couple of days ago and it was heavy. I don't think it would even fit in my sink it was so big. So how would it be cleaned?

    Thanks,
    Shannon

Hmm, well I've heard putting it in the microwave kills bacteria. But you aren't really using it for raw meats and fish I assume, so there wouldn't be those kinds of bacteria. maybe just run it with a towel soaked in hot water to clean it?

I wipe mine off with a little water, but I now use the flexible plastic ones, and I can easily put them in my sink, although I never use soap on anything anymore, I do occasionally use borax water

The more raw I go, the more I change what I do and use.

but I eat fruit off the tree, I don't even rinse it, so I'm not going to worry about washing my cutting board. I rinse of the sticky bits, and that's all.LOL

Simply with water or soapy water. I'm not scared of germs. :)

    Default Hmm

A lil Hydro P mixed with hot water. Or I just take my big board when I havent been maintaining it and I put it in my shower, Which has a filter, I put the shower on BURNING HOT, and it washes like a pro!

My sink has a pull out faucet integrated into the faucet that can change from normal water flow to 'shower' type water flow at the touch of a button. For my large items, I just set them above the middle of my double sink and lift up the faucet and spray them down from above. Yes...it sometimes sprays over, but then my floor gets a quick clean, too! It is my messiest floor area in the kitchen and usually needs it anyway!
