Default to be consistent and authentic

"I can tell you that any person who has achieved a degree of physical fitness beyond their 20s or 30s is doing it by choice. There are no accidents when it comes to physical fitness and personal health; there are only outcomes. When people embark on a journey to achieve a specific outcome, it takes a considerable amount of effort to get to that destination. Even then, most people don't consider it a destination -- it's not a stopping point. It's really just a way of life. That's the way fit people think. They don't think, "Oh, I'm just trying to lose five pounds or ten pounds to go to the next social occasion." They think: "This is the way I live. I always choose to eat healthy foods. I always choose to avoid fried foods, red meat or dairy products. I always choose to exercise on a regular basis because that's my lifestyle." That's who they are. It's not an effort to achieve one limited result. Instead, it is acting out their inner identity. It is authentic behavior, and the results are consistent." newstarget.com

At the age of 52 I have to say that to be healthy, fit and happy is indeed a conscious choice.

It is indeed a conscious choice!!! At 54, I run circles around my 30 something co-workers! I do choose to eat raw, exercise, worship my Creator and love life!! I love the quote...thanks for sharing!

    So true!!!

I am always annoyed, however when a person who does not choose to live this way thinks that my fitness level, etc. is "luck". When I used to work in a big office and not raw at that time I always got the comments when I ate a salad and passed on a piece of cake...Why are you eating that? You can afford to eat a piece of cake. They failed to comprehend that I looked they way I did "because" I passed on the cake and ate the salad.
