Anyone have a juicing recipe for...
Does anyone here have a juice recipe that includes garlic, but still tastes good, or at least decent? For the nutirional benefit, I REALLY want to be able to drink a juice daily that has garlic in it. I've only ever tried adding garlic to a juice once, and it tasted so awful that I nearly threw up (which is rare for me).
I make some pretty crazy juices, and use one strong fruit (usually lemon or pineapple) to make them taste good - or at least tolerable - and it works very well for me. Garlc, however, is a tough one. I've not even tried experimenting again since the one experience. I can't imagine anything that would overpower it enough to make it tolerable. Anyone have any ideas or recipes?
Thanks in advance.

Go against the grain...
Don't think interms of overpowering or diminishing the garlics flavor
CELEBRATE it
Instead of Juicing for juice sake
MAke a garlic tea or broth/soup
Loaded with celery, wheat grass, parsley, chives etc...
Or think in terms of V8 Juice and have a tomato and carrot juice blend accented with cayenne and GARLIC.
In either case place your preparation in a glass then in a open pot of water warmed between 98-110 degrees, drink like shots and enjoy!!!!
It is, therefore, evident that it is possible to cure by foods, aliments and fruits; but as today the science of medicine is imperfect, this fact is not yet fully grasped. When the science of medicine reaches perfection, treatment will be given by foods, aliments, fragrant fruits and vegetables, and by various waters, hot and cold in temperature.

Thanks. I'd gladly celebrate it if I had that much control over it. Gag reflexes kick in, however, and that leaves little room for celebration lol. I also can't stand tomatoes. It's the only fruit/vegetable that I don't eat. Not raw anyway.
I just need a good combination for the garlic. Lemon overpowers harsh greens perfectly. Pineapple makes beets taste great. I'm just hoping that someone knows of something that does something similiar for garlic.
Thanks anyway.

I think that's a great idea from lifeAgift to do it in a little shot glass and just down it. Then it would be down before those other issues you're talking about. I think you should really give that a "shot" before dismissing the idea.
I can't think of anything that will really overpower garlic, stuff like parsley might help a little but if anyone knows what would overpower that, I'll be very impressed.
Have you tried to buy really fresh garlic, from a farmer, freshly harvested, maybe that would help too. It will be strong or stronger in a way, but won't be as "off" tasting as some of the unfresh garlic that is sold in supermarkets.
