Feeling Low
Hi everyone. I am feeling low and stopping in for some encouragement. I would LOVE to stop beating myself up. I don't even know why I do that so much. I would LOVE to not need so much validation about everything I do. What is with this? I really think this is what keeps me from succeeding. I mean succeeding in everything, including eating raw. I am hanging out dealing with feelings this morning, ya know the ones that surface during detox. Clearly I know what my goals are and desparately hanging on to the end of my rope.
Thanks for listening. Any encouragement would be fantastic.
Sincerely,
ac

This was posted by RP a few days ago and I want to put it up again to see if it would be of benefit to you.
Every decision you make - every decision - is not a decision about what to do. It's a decision about Who You Are. When you see this, when you understand it, everything changes. You begin to see life in a new way. All events, occurrences, and situations turn into opportunities to do what you came here to do. - Neale Donald Walsch
I hope that things get better for you and that you are the cause of them doing so.
There is sufficient in the world for man's need, but not for his greed.

Sorry youre feeling so low and beating yourself up over things. If you really want to stop beating yourself up then just do. Next time you start to do it consciously do something else. Stop yourself in the very moment that you start it and do some positive reaffirmations. Ive been reading The Power of Intention by Wayne Dyer and it has helped me alot in doing this. My favorite quote from his book is "When you change the way you look at things the things you look at change". I never knew how true this was until I stopped beating myself up and learned to love me. Now life is so much more beautiful. Start right now this very minute and from now on anytime you start to beat yourself up, just stop and do the opposite and be very kind and understanding to yourself. Hope this helps.
Big Hugs

E - we say we don't want to need validation...but the truth is, validation can be nice. We're human. We all need a pat on the back, a "thank you" or a "I think you're awesome" now and again. People need encouragement. Some more than others. I don't think it is a fault unless the validation lies in negativity or self destructive behaviour.
Do you need encouragement right now? Is it in your raw choice? Is it in some other part of your life? Are you having fear of change? Maybe the new you emerging is scaring you a bit.
I don't know you, but I'm here to say you ROCK! You know you do. I know you do. You're the only you there is! Thoughts create. Focus on positives you would like in your life and create them. When a negative thought enters your mind...just say "cancel" and think of something else immediately.
Let us know how you are...you're awseome!!!! Is that a kitty in your photo with you?

I am sorry you feel so low right now. I agree with Jen about just changing your thoughts right at that moment. Sometimes when we feel low it starts a cycle that is hard to get out of. For the past year, I've really been working on changing my thinking and it has helped a lot! Now whenever I have a negative thought, I replace it with "I'm healthy and strong" or another affirmation. I hope you feel better soon!

HEY Emmaann!
Well I have to tell you that the way you describe how you feel is how I felt for 35 years.
Needing, NO CRAVING! acceptance and validation 24/7 and NOT getting it.
Let me tell you how I stopped that cycle of neediness. I want you to find a book called "Feel the fear and do it anyway" By Susan Jeffers, Ph.D.
I found mine at our local library in the 25 cent bin. Since then I have ordered more copies for used prices.
NOTHING in the world has made a bigger difference to me than the insite that she gives you. I can't even express it. Tears well up in my eyes just thinking about the joy of not living every moment needy and fearful of well.. EVERYTHING!!!
She is practical, simple to comprehend and every page gives you hope and real things you can do to dramatically change how YOU percieve your life.
Here is something that I learned from her insites and It might sound terribly hard or you may not understand it YET, but it has turned my entire life around and I live everyday now without the dibilitating need for others acceptance.
"Taking responsibility means NEVER blaming anyone else for ANYTHING you are being, doing, having or feeling EVER!"
WHOA sounds like a paradox really but you just can't imagine how liberating it is.
Read the book, even if you get one little thing out of it to help you see that you are SO wonderful and worthy and that you can KNOW it and rely on it well... AWESOME!
Please feel free to email me (put a RAW in front of your name then I will know not to delete it) or post if you have any questions
Sending you ALL the good thoughts and feelings in my possesion
