I just wanted to post some pictures of my little sister, Heather, for you. She isn't raw, because my mom isn't raw...but this summer she has eaten a lot more raw thus far because of me. Today for lunch (actually over a long period of time in between playing) I gave her raw broccoli (her all time favorite), carrots, apple, strawberries, some of my orange...because my mom would have gotten mad at me I gave her some left over whole wheat pasta with some cooked vegan stew (I made for the family because I had left over sprouted lentils and couldn't stomach them but didn't want them to go to waste). She ate a few bites of the pasta with stew over it (she liked it before she looked at it, very very picky and chooses with her eyes). And then allll she wanted were the raw fruits and veggies and nothing else. She was eating all raw and loving it until my step dad came over, tutted and gave her one of his hot dogs on white bread. She took a bite and spit it right out. Then she took another bite and had a little bit of it but really just wanted oranges and broccoli and such. yay. Sorry if I am annoying sharing this info that is probably quite irrelevent to you...I just wanted to share this and I hope that maybe SHE could set an example for her parents. yes the little 2 and a half year old :).

Oh Bless her little heart, thanks for sharing, she is such a little ANGEL!!! they are so sweet and innocent at that age. I am glad to hear that she is enjoying raw foods thats fantastic and thank goodness for having a big sister like you who can be so wonderfully inspirational to her. GAH!! I cannot believe he gave her a hot dog!!! So glad she is eating good foods with you! She is sooo adorable!! ^__^

I knoww, hot dog!? Of all things! and the poor thing is always broken out in horrible itchy rashes! no wonder!!!! he gives her hot dogs alll the time...with white bread. most of her meals are either plain pasta, pizza, ham and cheese sandwhich, yogurt, and things of that sort. and I try to tell her what they REALLY are when we are alone. But I feel so bad, I don't want to scar her.

I don't think you are scarring her at all, but helping her!! My mom would die if someone fed me hot dogs, etc when I was that age!! My dad and uncle did it...I still can't figure it out! But you are doing a good thing, in my opinion at least. Someone has to introduce kids to this stuff.

Mrandal, that's what I was thinking. I think I will continue to educate her on it....even though she is only two and a half so once she was looking inside her sandwich for the "piggy".
