Well, I have little cravings eating raw (and not being pregnant). But I sure remember those cravings when I was pregnant and they are intense. Maybe you can check out Shazzie's website for ideas. She was raw and pregnant. But she might've gone back to just vegan for a while. Either way, it might be good information.

Good luck. I'd say eat avocadoes for the fat cravings!

She did go back to some cooked while she was pregnant and still eats about 95% raw, but her 2 year old daughter eats all raw.

How do you make your onion rings?

you could maybe try making some flax crackers to have on hand if you are wanting something crunchy. or if you drink smoothies you could try adding hemp protein powder (manitoba harvest brand) to your smoothies. that provides a complete balance of omegas. it has helped to curve some of my cravings and is good for nursing and pregnant mommas! just a thought :)

you could also always have avocados on hand. or maybe just try eating more fruit?

just some thoughts! hang in there. cravings dont last forever thankfully!!

Slice sweet videllias or whatever, dip them in olive oil and then batter them in raw wheat germ and dehydrate on 105 for about 3 days (you can do less but I like mine really crispy)

    Thanks for all responses...

I find that I feel so SICK even looking at avocados and I ate them DAILY for months now--so weird. I guess I am craving SAD fats like when I used to drink and end up at Dennys at 3am.

I feel sorta crampy and it made me nervous until I realized I am probably realllly constipated b/c of vegan prenatals and eating more sunflower pate'. I actually wanna eat dehydrated food but it ends up constipating me even more.

LOL--This is the most humbling and nerve-wracking experience of my life b/c I really REALLY have no control and each day is different. I dunno whether I am having cramps and to be nervous about them or if it is just gas? and major back-up....

SO I am hoping I can get some food in but the thought of eating is repulsing me too. I faithfully do a veggie green juice every night and trying to get more rest:)

    You are all so helpful--thanks!!

Welcome to pregnancy! You have no control and your body takes over. It's a crazy experience. But do try to enjoy it.

Listen to your body! If you're craving something, it's for a reason. If you want to stay raw, then ask your body what it wants that is raw and let it answer you. Oh, and a friend of mine who is a colon therapist and eats raw lived on Thor's Raw Power supplement through her pregnancy. I use it daily now and really like it. It's a powder to mix in smoothies or juices.

By the way, talk to your doctor if the cramping worries you...but if it makes you feel better, I had cramping early on and I believe it was all of the muscles and organs moving and shifting around to make room for the babies.

    Good luck.

Thanks Debbie--I will look into Thor's Raw Power--sounds so STRONG:)

I actually feel better now than I did 3 hours ago. It is SO funny how quickly things change:)

Thank you for your joy and support.
