I have a book called Raw Kids, and states that according to The World Health Org. , protein requirements are 4 1/2 % of caloric intake per day, for men, children and women. This is so easy to achieve when eating a wide variety of raw and living foods, for example: (according to Nutritive Value of American Foods in Commun Units, USDA)
Veggies
Spinach 49% brocoli 45% kale 45% lettuce 34% tomato 18% cucumber 24%
Fruits
Honey dew 16% cantaloupe 9% orange 8% apricot 8% grape 8% banana 5% apple 1%
you can also find protein in nuts seeds and grains. I always let my baby to eat a few walnuts by itself then sip on my smoothies which has almond milk, also I add tomatoes in my flax crackers, and spinach in my sauces and they eat them all the time, I think they are eating a good variety of protein. My oldest WONT drink any smoothies so I have to hide all these in recipes. HTH!
