    Default Digestion problems

    For about the last month and a half I have been slowly trying to ease myself into becoming 100% raw, what I find though is that the more raw I eat it lessen my tolerant for cooked foods so I'm eating more raw. My problem though is that it seems to take my veggies and smoothies hours to digest. Could this be a signal to some other problems? I'm fairly new to raw and really don't know what to expect.

    To the best of my knowledge most food takes at least 24 hours to digest anyhow. It needs to sit a bit in our stomach and colon so nutrients can be absorbed from the food. So it's a good thing it's not going through you right away!

    You may also want to look at food combining. Combining nuts and/or seeds with fruit can cause slow digestion, upset stomach, gas, ect. Make sure you're eating fruit alone and let it digest before you have heavier foods. Combining cooked with raw itself can cause slow digestion. I hope that helps...
