Default Water or nothing - what's your opinion?

Just curious what the majority opinion is here, what others thoughts are. What do you consider fasting?

For me fasting means abstaining from food. Period. I consider juice food. To me fasting means water only.

It depends on what kind of fast you are on, technically a fast, means no consumption of anything, however after 6 days you die without water, so I think drinking only water is considered a fast.

I know that I don't have the kind of lifestyle to do a water-only fast for a long periond of time. I hope to someday. So for a Mom with three children who needs to keep her energy while she cleans her body, a fresh, organic orange juice fast IS a real fast and a way to continue on with my daily routine. I do like to incorporate more rest and meditation into my life during my fast but I do still have to keep up and have energy. OJ gives me that.

For me 'Fast' means no food or liquids at all. Maybe that's because of my religion. I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Days Saints, and we fast for twenty four hours with no food or liquids once a month. But if I was 'fasting' for longer than a day I would definitely drink water!

For me, "fast" means water fast. Juice fast means juice fast and dry fast means consuming nothing. I think that raw vegans (us ) can easier dry fast. I used to have one fasting day a week but now I have one dra fasting day a week with no problem. Unless I eat eg. a lot of nuts the day before.
