    Default Anyone for Essene Bread?

A friend of mine makes phenomenal, beautiful RAW Essene bread - both sweet (wheat with raisin and dates) and rye. She sold some at an event where I had a table also today. She's considering the idea of making this a business. Do you think people would order real raw Essene bread online? She's currently charging $5 a loaf for a size about 5" x 7" (maybe a teensy smaller - I'll post pictures on here that I took as soon as I finish wrestling with how to make them small enough so they won't appear like we're teensy mosquitos looking at the world).

Anyway -- what do you guys say? Would you or anyone you know order Essene bread online? Does anyone have experience selling a food product they've made online? Or a resource to point her to?

Thanks SOO much. It'll be so helpful to this raw single mom who wants to create a stay at home business so she can remain with her 2 yr. old.

I would be a regular customer for sure... this is a wonderful idea! I've made Essene Bread a few times but just don't have the time and would love to be able to buy it from a reliable source and if it helped out a single raw mom all the better!

If she'd like to try selling some to see how it goes please let me know, I don't have any experience of selling food items online so I hope someone has some good ideas on that.

Thanks for your post... this is really something to look forward to! I want some now!

I would possibly if the flavors are what i like. But I'd definitly order it online, because I don't know how much time I have to make bread for the family. And with my hubby and son... I know I'll be going through it quick!

    |Victoria Boutenko sells their raw crackers on line, and they even bought a bakery, and turned it into a raw bakery, to sell scones and things, this was several years ago, so not sure if they are still doing this, you might try contacting Victoria,

    RT -

funny you should post this, as I am struggling with this right now (as you might remember from an earlier post, but I will elaborate more on that in the other post).

I would definitely be interested in trying it.

I would also be interested in her recipe (as well as any tips and tricks), if she has had success with it not ending up fermented-like. I don't want to steal her business, just won't be able to afford it as often as I could make it at home.

I might try it. I try to keep it simple so I probably wouldn't order often, but I might once in a while. I have a raw vegan restaurant down the street so I usually go there for my goods.

I'd probably order it once in a while, as long as the shipping didn't double the price. I eat very simply now, but am looking for a bread substitute for my husband and my attempts have been very disappointing.

I have bought essence bread from Good Stuff by Mom and Me, I stopped only because most were sweet and I was looking for more savory ones. SO if shipping was reasonable I would.

    RawTruth,

I would be interested in buying uncooked bread online, at a reasonable price, and also, like others have said, if the shipping wasn't outrageous.

The only problem for me is that I am gluten intolerant, and so cannot eat anything made with wheat or rye. If your friend offered a gluten free bread, though, I would definitely be interested.
