Anti-bacterial foods?
I saw a naturopathic doctor today, one of the things he said was I have a sinus infection. I take a clove of garlic every day. I will increase it. How much do you think I should take? What other foods have natural anti-bacterial qualities?

Minnie, is it possible to ask the doctor? Some of us can give you some information, but I would think the naturopath would have experience with many people.

YES, honey is excellent although it is NOT vegan,
cloves, oregano, many spices, will work well, hot spices, garlic, ginger, cayenne, chilis, peppermint, all of these are excellent at combating infection.
however, if you have a sinus infection, one of the best things you can do, is sauna, and hot showers, peppermint tea, lemon juice, honey (if you so choose) alcohol (again, if you so choose) and hot spices, eat them or breath them in, this will realy clear your sinuses fast.
warm ginger tea is very good, especially with cayenne pepper, as hot as you can stand (the spice, not the temperature)
mustard is also good, anything hot or spicy, like onions, will cause the mucus membranes to secrete, just cut up some onions, and allow your nose to run.

Tangerines or Tangerine juice

Vitamin C. Can be taken in the form of fresh squeezed orange juice, which is my daily morning drink for mega Vit. C.

I had a sinus infection so bad on both sides that just would not go away on its own. I finally used some probiotics & it was gone the next day or so.
