Anyone have a Raw Vegan B12 source for children as well? I have found some multivitains, but they dont have the methylcobalamin B12.

    Hi Vandy,

I order in bulk from www.bulkfoods.com where I get good service, low shipping cost, and fast shipping.

I get 5 pound bags, and at 2 tablespoons daily, this size will last me a long time.

I also get pumpkin seeds, brazil nuts, dried organic mission figs and other stuff from them too - and like I said, they have a special low shipping cost.

On the site, you can link up to the nutritional content of the Vegan Blend nutritional yeast. Informative!

I would double check to see what form of B-12 is in the nutritional yeast. From what I understand, most nutritional yeasts are fortified with cyanocobalamin. Cyanocobalamin is a synthetic man-made B-12. Apparently some may be methylcobalamin. If it is cyanocobalamin or hydroxocobalamin, you need to suppliment those with methylcobalamin as the previous two forms do no complete all the funtions that B-12 methylcobalamin do. Methylcobalamin is the only form that works in the nervous system whic has to to with the brain, emotions, mood, nerves and messages being sent to othe parts of the body telling it what to do.
